PPGP 1st round

The 1st haul of Purple peach ghosts. Starting to show signs of maturing. The window on these is pretty narrow, they tend to rot fast once ripe. The variation in plants is interesting though. 1st round picks have been small this year so I can’t wait to see what September has in store.

The 7’ plant I posted less than a month ago is 8.5’ now. Christmas tree structure, sativa style. Branching does vary a bit with these seeds but cool overall. Temps have been 77-84 most of the summer. Heavy feeding, no trichomes on the leaves. Prone to edema

Orange habs and trichomes

Some plant stuff; fruits, undersides of leaves, overall shape. These habaneros have the best trichs since being placed outdoor. Just making notes. 20 gal btw, 2nd round

Pups coming in

It’s looking decent these days (relatively). I kind of want to separate these. Tip and advice appreciated. 14 months old

2nd wave vibes

Nicer fruits for sure. 582 so far on this chocolate habanero. Displaying ghost like bumps now, cool cool

7’ purple peach ghost

It broke 7’ earlier this week, elevated 18” off the ground so ya it’s pretty lanky.

1st haul and under canopy

Habaneros were first to come in; orange and white averaging 200+ each harvestable fruits already. The chocolate is a beast already 350. Ghosts not far behind. A few plant shots included. 1st round is an assortment of stunted and normal fruits. No complaints

Interesting variation

Purple peach ghost, as it matures its looking nothing like the rest. Purple to green to red… started looking like a ghost but now displays a bulbous shape. It’s on the radar now

D13 veg into new system - Melonsicle TH seeds

13 days into the new system with clones. Left plant is a week behind others but overall things look decent. Going to flower the mother in a 5x5 too, coco/rw chunks 15L (separate dig)

4x LPA + 1x aux drip in 20 gal pods.
HLG, 5x9 gorilla
Feeding 450-500ppm7 at 5.8ph, 68-69F. Green planet nutrients

Double Scrog net deployed; lowest is more of a training launch pad and future bib for the exterior branching sag, top will be gradually adjusted for training

Couple changes/improvements come to mind already.
Mostly maintenance related, individualized instrumentation for root zone monitoring, additional filtering, nozzle upgrades, flushing system for reservoir change outs. Ideas flowing for now

Habaneros

Chocolate, white and a variant (creamy orange). A lot of flavour and good heat. New pods are coming in larger than the pods formed during indoor growth through to pre-hardening. Been watering the 20 gals every other day during this heat wave but giving them the ol’ feel test first. Aiming for a shorter range wet/dry cycle given how many fruits are on some.

Chocolate cherry/grape

Started these from seed mid-April iirc. Indoor to outdoor, currently in 20 gal fabric pots. I’m new: 3rd year growing tomatoes. LST and staking them growing rather fast at the moment. Toronto

Show and tell

Chocolate and white habaneros, purple peach and regular ghosts. It’s interesting to see the progression and compare past decisions to current characteristics. What looked good early on now looks mediocre or great. So the observation continues. Noticing a few cross breeds from last year too so, kind of cool.

New system v1.0 LPA w/ drip

4x sprayers + auxiliary drip per 20 gal pod. 2” drain. Fresh clones in there of Melonsicle Th seeds. 8” net pots. At this stage it’s fairly configurable but I wanted to get a proof of concept down first before improvements and customizations.
