Copyright laws in the UK and worldwide implications

Evening everyone. I'll cut to the chase.

I.designed a belt buckle that would be part of a series of 4 belts, each with an issue of 20 belts per issue.

I have been dealing with a company based in Dubai with a view to producing my design. They came back with a price which was a lot, but I started reading the specs of the design which I did last week and the company have put on their mail back to me which has the design on. They had Copyright 2026 and how it can't be reproduced and had the designer as one of their own employees. I'm fuming. They literally had the design for 48 hours and copyrighted it in Australia. I've obviously told them.i won't ever work with them.again.

My 2 questions

1 How do I copyright my own designs in 48 hours?

2 . Is it possible to copyright a series of buckles as a set rather than an individual buckle?

Neighbour's dilema. Assistance Required

So bear with me for one moment as details are still a bit sketchy. This is what we know. Me neighbour is 72 years old. Her husband has recently died as a result of dementia. A company is asking for details of the estate as apparently he owes them £3500. Apparently it's from a credit card debt.My neighbour can't even find a single statement for this bank account they alleged they know about and apparently this account was opened 2 years ago. He was already diagnosed with dementia at the time. My questions are these.

1 Can this company hold his wife liable for this money? She certainly hasn't got that kind of money

2, Does the debt die with him if for a very weird reason he managed to take out some kind of money on this alleged credit card.

3, Does all correspondence need to go to the solicitor who administers the estate?

Any help will be helpful

Your Ideal Bag ?

Good day to you all. I've literally been studying handbags for about 2 years now, joined multiple forums, learned about leatherwork, sewing design. Have way too many books on bags, the History of bags etc. This is me now doing more research into bags/ bag design/bag functionality. I will be making a bag in the future. Yes 'bag' as in singular. Only one. I want to make bags that are really only one offs. Not even bespoke for others, but to my own design. My first bag shall be in Buttero Burgundy with an added splash of colour yet to be determined. I've even ordered bespoke boxes to house my design and a branded paper bag that the box goes in. I estimate about 65 hours to make my first bag as I would like to double saddle stitch the whole bag for longevity purposes. My question is this to all you handbag purchasing people. Do you buy a handbag for functionality or for the design? Do you take note of the way it's put together? Or do you just go for general aesthetics like colour, shape etc? I am purely looking at this from a perspective of interest in your thought process. It's not about marketing as I have already had an offer to place my first bag in a shop window, but the person who offered wanted to mark up the bag by a massive percentage that was not acceptable to myself. I truly believe an artisan bag can be affordable and better than lots of luxury brands who mass produce . I'm even at the stage that I may only sell to a person whose personality matches the bag. That may sound wrong but after literally studying bags for 2 years and watching some incredible makers I think to just mass produce something that's very personal is really diluting the bag itself.

Could you tell me how to hire a bike in Nanjing please. Is there a local app etc? I shall be visiting widely and looking at a radius of 20km from my hotel to travel. What do I need to know?
