Seriously what did they feed Dark SAM lmao? He went from 14M HP to 20M in 2 patches which is insane

Team includes E2S1 Seele (Archer’s LC), E1S1 DHPT, E2S1 Sparkle, and E1S1 Cerydra
This is a test to see how well Seele can perform against a pure ST boss, one that has no minions to trigger Resurgence at all. The plan is to stack up Nightshade and Amplification in the first wave, then go all out on SAM afterwards
Remember, Nightshade and Amplification last for 3 turns, and Seele does pretty impressive damage while those buffs are active (230% dmg bonus). After that however, good luck I suppose?
Team includes E2S1 Seele and Sparkle, E1S1 Cerydra and DHPT. Just make sure Seele and Sparkle don’t get CC’ed and we’re good
Node 1 is also doable as well, but there are enemies that can delay you so I picked Node 3 instead
I decided to rank all APOC bosses based on how well Seele can perform against them. Note that this list is about bosses in Apocalyptic Shadows, whose mechanics are vastly different compared to their normal version
The description for each tier is as below:
There is also >!Abundant Ebon Deer!< who will make its debut in APOC next patch. From its revamped mechanics I'll probably put it somewhere in Good tier
Also, it goes without saying that for bosses without Quantum weakness (Aventurine, Argenti, etc.), you may wanna bring SW along, otherwise it'll take forever to break those bosses
I remember struggling so hard against APOC Argenti and Nikador before Seele’s Novaflare. Now they’re actually pretty decent
Seele and Sparkle are E2S1, while Cerydra and DHPT are E1S1
Some notes:
- For this fight you don’t wanna spam ultimates out of turn since spamming them will advance all enemies. Wait until your turn then spam them
- Despite having less minions, Graphia is easier than Skaracabaz lol. I guess not having 40% Quantum res helps a lot
- Cerydra got saved by SW’s passive, but it doesn’t really matter without it. She got CC’ed 3 more times afterwards anyway xD
This is what Seele's Nightshade description looks like. From it, it seems pretty obvious that Seele must be the one getting the kill to trigger this effect, right?
But here's the thing: DHPT assigns a summon (Souldragon) to your DPS, and Souldragon's damage counts as your DPS' damage. This means that Souldragon can actually trigger Nightshade as well
Here is proof showing that the dragon can help Seele stack up Nightshade. Notice that the stack number went from 1 to 3 after Souldragon killed 3 enemies

But if DHPT's summon can trigger Seele's Nightshade, why can't it trigger Resurgence? The answer to this is because of how Resurgence is described. It can only be triggered via basic, skill, or ultimate. Souldragon does FUA damage, which is not included
Now you might be wondering: In what scenario does this interaction (Souldragon triggering Nightshade) become useful? Would it be better to just let Seele get the kill instead?
To that, I say I honestly don't have a clue. I guess this is more of a compensation if DHPT steals Seele's kills, which I assume would happen a lot if he is E2 or higher. I don't have his E2 though so I can't tell for sure XD
What was that? 9 consecutive actions?
It took them 3 years to implement but better late than never am I right?
Seele and Sparkle are E2S1, while Cerydra and DHPT are E1S1
TFW AI only plays slightly worse than you do. I should probably retire at this point /s
I decided to clear all 3 stages to see how far I could go in each stage. Some thoughts:
- Node 1 is the easiest stage yet. I could clear even faster with a bit of RNG (Lygus refused to pull Seele up for some reason)
- Node 2 is the hardest one yet. Enemies kept hiding themselves so Seele couldn’t even hit them
- Node 3 is alright. It is a neutral matchup after all
Holy shit. That was the first attempt btw
I’ll gladly take it
Any tips are welcome
I’m surprised how this only took 1 cycle to clear (Dark SAM side took 1 cycle before this)
Been playing since 1.0 but I couldn’t beat it until now. It took 5 cycles but it was totally worth it
