A Chart of the Factions, Countries and Alliances of the Dream SMP

I discovered a software that was meant for making mindmaps, but I found a different use with its functionality.

The situation of every former Dream SMP creator (9th May 2026)

I made this long ass comment thread about the current situation of every former Dream SMP YouTubers and streamers before on someone else's post who was asking this question. But since that post is now gone and I feel like there will be other people who would ask the same thing and would like to know too. I decided to compile a complete description of everyone's situation here, with also a lot more elaboration included compared to the comment I made before, so here go: The situation of every former Dream SMP creator (9th May 2026)

Note that some words that are in italic are some of my personal opinions, in case you want a neutral stance on some stuff in these descriptions.

  1. The Americans - aka Dream's people or those associated close to him. This includes Dream, George, Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, Antfrost, Awesamdude and Captainpuffy, who together are currently doing 6 hunters manhunts after Dream revisited doing Minecraft Manhunt through his revival series. This group by the far has the most popularity of everyone who had moved on from the Dream SMP - still making content, gaining tons of views and subscribers and stuff. With the first three - Dream, George and Sapnap - also actively engaging with some other/new faces of today's Minecraft like Daquavis, Judelow and DrDonut to create content and collab. But because Dream and the others with him faced many controversies before, they are viewed with quite a bit of displeasure and disapproval from people who despise them because all the drama they are involved in, especially most recently with Dream and DrDount hosting pvp servers in Israel, which outraged people (mostly on twitter obviously) because Dream has already been accused of many things - including another recent drama related to him using cheats to excel in MCC parkour - while DrDount had his first major and considerably disgusting take on drama and controversies relating to Marlowww - supposedly the girl that is the best at everything related to Minecraft pvp but accused of being a fraud and shit. Needless to say, following anyone from this group - for me at least - is like walking a path of the dark side. You would have no problem watching content from Dream and his friends like it's still 2020, but you'll be "following him with a sort of blissful ignorance of" or "not relieved from not forgetting" his past controversies - whether they are false or proven - and anyone following or collaborating him would also acquire his dirty stains on their reputation - especially the case with CaptainPuffy for including Dream in her photos and now being the sixth hunter in his manhunt series.
  2. The Brighton group, or the Europeans, or the British: Brighton, in the UK, is where most of the European Dream SMPers meet and stuff, which included TommyInnit, Tubbo, WilburSoot, Niki Nihachu, Philza, Fundy and Jack Manifold, but it has evolved. Times have changed and people moved on, now it includes a lot of other creators - the vast majority of which aren't part of the Dream SMP, but at their head was good old Tubbo, who is the biggest face of them all and also now actually lives in Brighton. Besides him there is also Aimsey (another former DSMP member), Bekyamon, AverageHarry, MaxGG, JonnaayLive, Melinks, Billzo, Lexie Marie, Eryn, and lastly Jack Manifold and TommyInnit. Ever since the end of the Dream SMP, Tubbo had been doing massive events in collaboration with people in his group, it's not quite a new thing but they did grow in scale and grandeur, including the Tubbathon - Tubbo's twitch subathon that has special events happening, the Midoffs tournament - a Minecraft speedrunning tournament that includes famous modern Minecraft speedrunners like Feinberg, Couriway and Infume leading teams of mediocre speedrunner startups like Ludwig, and most recently opening a coffee brand - Peepos Coffee - to support a local coffee shop. Meanwhile, Jack and Tommy are hosting their own podcast "Shut up I'm talking", sometimes bringing along various guests to the podcast like Jacksepticeye, DanTDM, Matpat and the Brighton group. Also, Tommy in particular had gone through a bit of a "quiet matured" state over the past year because he lost his "YouTube momentum" and is only returning once in a few months to upload videos. Despite this, he still continued his podcast with Jack, still doing live comedy shows and tours, and once in awhile gets back with Tubbo here and there. I think Tommy also is really becoming like his Dream SMP character in a way: losing people he looked up to. Disconnecting from Wilbur because his controversies, Technoblade being gone, he still has Tubbo but it doesn't feel like they hang out that much anymore. Nonetheless, Tommy is still active and recently started a new channel "100 Questions with Tom Simons" where he interviews celebrities with a hundred questions. Unlike with Dream's group, this group is definitely a lot more clean because "obviously" they had a lot less controversies. And because of some drama related to the Dream SMP around the start of 2025 - mainly from Dream posting quite an offensive meme and then him trading blows with Tommy and Tubbo through YouTube and Twitter, there is like bitter hate between the American and the Brit fans, which is like a dividing rift that is splitting this fandom apart.
  3. The odd ones out: If there are former members not mentioned in the first two groups but are still active, then they belong to here. They may be aligned with one of the two groups above one way or another but overall they are on their own.
  4. T.O.O.O 1: Foolish and Tina. These two, since first meeting on the Dream SMP in lore and real life, evolved to become close friends and practically collaborate like a duo. Foolish in particular still works and plays with Tubbo and his group a lot, like on the QSMP and special events. While Tina together with Foolish are like a link between content creators of the Dream SMP and OfflineTV (mostly), so you would also see Tina and Foolish play together in events hosted in Minecraft or by OTV friends like in Ludwig's 2025 Streamer Games.
  5. T.O.O.O 2: Then there is Karl Jacobs and Purpled, they're not like working together to stay afloat by themselves like Foolish and Tina but rather work under others. With Purpled working with Karl for some of Karl's Minecraft videos on his channel, and Karl working with of course MrBeast in all his videos since Chris/Kris was given the boot due to drama. In particular, Karl has been a lot more quiet over the years since the Dream SMP's end, he interacts less with Quackity and Dream's group especially Sapnap and was also less active on his socials, while Purpled continues to participate in MCC tournaments, speedrunning and make videos for his own channel
  6. T.O.O.O 3: Next there's Skeppy, JSchlatt, Quackity, Connar, Hannah, and Seapeekay, these people are definitely going off on their own since the Dream SMP's end but still very much engaged with the Minecraft community and their former DSMP collaborators. Skeppy still collabs and makes videos with Dream's group, especially of course BadBoyHalo. Schlatt is floating on his own with his community and still grinds away with YouTube shorts, live streams - especially on QSMP 2, and interact with other people like Connar - who dabbled into commentary and politic content - and Tubbo. Quackity has been hosting his own big Minecraft server like the QSMP, which recently started season 2, and also built up his Spanish community in the process. Hannah moved on to joining and becoming part of other SMP communities like Livesteal, and Seapeekay occasionally have fun times with Tubbo's group, still live streaming on his own, doing Minecraft tournaments and stuff.
  7. The rest of the T.O.O.O: These people here are very much like on their own since the Dream SMP ended, they are either isolated, banished or dead - the latter two you can probably guess who. These are the isolated/forgotten/moved on people: Ponk, Punz, Fundy, Eret, Niki Nihachu, HBomb, Ranboo, Slimecicle and Michaemcchill. Ponk and Fundy are just gone - the former vanishing since the second anniversary of the Dream SMP's closing while the latter scarcely uploads a few videos. Punz is practically an isolated lone wolf and parted ways with Dream's group. Eret kinda disappeared a bit for his association with Chris/Kris when he was banished from the Internet, but he and Punz can still be seen active on Instagram. Niki is still around and live streaming, she even is now dabbling into making music but she's also isolated and on her own. HBomb is like CPK and is still active but more quieter. Ranboo is another active but isolated creator like Niki, he still live streams, makes content with fellow cc moonzy_cat, but very much on his own, he does sometimes show up with meet up with other creators like at Markiplier's Iron Lung movie premiere. Slime and Michael are also still active but making content alone.
  8. Finally, there are two: WilburSoot and Technoblade. Despite being banished from the Minecraft community, rejected by a majority of his community, Wilbur is - to some of you very disappointingly - still active and uploads - first making it apparent with a video about the L'Manberg flag on his new channel. He still does Lovejoy band tours and is very much on his own. Then there is Technoblade, dead since 2022 about 4 years ago, but his channel and name kept alive by his family and community.

I've mostly kept track of the first two groups because they're the most active while everyone else I had to search through their profiles to be updated about them, but yeah, that is practically the situation of every former Dream SMP content creator today.

6 years ago, on the 24th April 2020, a new Minecraft survival multiplayer world was created, a Minecraft world featuring newer game additions but no different to the millions of other worlds created before it, a Survival MultiPlayer server that doesn't seem to at first hold any significance or grandeur compared to many that were. The only specialty that this SMP do have though was that it was start by Dream and GeorgeNotFound - the newest faces of Minecraft of the new decade.

6 years ago, everything was very different and difficult compared to today, and those who lived through and understood it, still held it in memory because it seemed to have never been that long ago. In March 2020, a global pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization as the Coronavirus or Covid-19 disease spread across the world, infecting billions and killing millions. As a result, people were forced to stay indoors to contain the virus's spread as strict quarantine brought modern life and society to halt. Despite becoming stuck in their homes and separated from friends and family, people still have the Internet to contact and connect to each other, and as millions more also turned towards the Internet to relieve their boredom, there was then an influx of people looking for online entertainment, especially towards video games and gaming.

The start of 2020 for Minecraft on YouTube was a melting pot of renaissance, nostalgic but also experimental and innovative content. 2019 was the year that Minecraft was brought back from apparent extinction by PewDiePie, who created one of the most successful modern Minecraft survival world series since the times of Minecraft's early 2010s Golden Age - racking up 10+ million after 10+ million views on each of his Minecraft videos. This surge of new viewers and revival of the Minecraft space led to many other Minecraft YouTubers take their chances in having their own slice of the pie, one of them being the new up incoming creator named Dreamwastaken, or in short Dream.

Around this time, Dream was becoming one of the rising new stars of Minecraft. First asserting himself in the Minecraft space through several videos related to PewDiePie's survival world series, he went on to begin creating Minecraft videos but with experimental ideas that gives special twists and turns to the core gameplay, like item drops being random and multiplied, killing each other in a death swap challenge, and all blocks having gravity, but his most famous and successful idea was his Minecraft Manhunt series, where he tries to speedrun and beat Minecraft while his friends try to stop him. Despite not being the first person to think of such an idea, he sure created a formula for it - the rules of the game and video format for it in general - to become extremely engaging and fun to watch. He also had dabbled into Minecraft speedrunning and was quite capable at it too, which combined with the genius he displayed in his Minecraft Manhunt series, made many considered him to be one of the best Minecraft players.

In late April, Dream started a new live stream on Twitch as he enters into a new Minecraft world - created in version 1.16, people who joined the stream thought he was doing another speedrun or practicing to do one, but then George joined the world too as Dream explained that he wasn't speedrunning but rather deciding to play regular Minecraft survival mode. One of the main things Dream and George did on their first day was to explore the new features that update 1.16 has added to Minecraft, that being a complete overhaul of the Nether dimension, the addition of new biomes, structures, mobs, items, etc. Also on their first day, they died a lot, having to regather items and tools every time they try to navigate the Nether, which ultimately ended with Dream dying in the Nether again, ragequitting and ending the first stream on his new multiplayer server.

Besides that, not much else was expected from this little Survival MultiPlayer world afterwards - or so called "Dream Team SMP", but Dream and his friends played and live streamed on the server on their own accord, playing in obscurity, live streaming for a half-interested audience, and the server being practically unknown to most people - due to Dream and or his friends never ever uploading a single piece of footage of it to YouTube, which was done instead mostly by their fans who actually tuned in. Things remained that way for the next 3 months of the server's existence, but in July 2020, everything is about to change, all because of a particular 16 year old British boi.

On 4th July 2020, unimportantly the US's 244th anniversary, TommyInnit joined the Dream Team SMP server. In the past one year's worth of time, Tommy was also another new rising star in the Minecraft scene. Although he didn't achieve as big of a success as Dream, he still made a name for himself through his interaction with other creators and streamers, acting and being that jokingly awkward, annoying and insufferable child everyone talks to and play with, something that Dream caught wind of. Despite having already live streamed on Twitch for 3 hours before this invitation to Dream's Minecraft server - which inconceivably he could've turned down, Tommy still gave it his all, joined the server, put on a show and spark fun funny chaos. His first few minutes on the server though resulted in him getting banished into an unknown land on the server, before banned from it outright, and blocked by Dream on Twitter, before all of it being reversed as he promised to follow the "rules" of the server.

Inviting TommyInnit to the Dream SMP has to be one of the biggest ramifications in the server's history, as in the same month, many more things would occur on the server that will make it go down in history as one of the most impactful and influential events in Minecraft. 3 days after Tommy joined, more people are added, including Tubbo - Tommy's streamer friend. Just the day after, the First Disc War of the Dream SMP was fought with Tommy and Tubbo on one side and Dream on the other, which will rage on for another week or so. 25 days since Tommy joined the Dream SMP - 29th July 2020, he along with WilburSoot, Tubbo and Eret would declare L'Manberg as a newly independent country, which is the beginning of the Dream Team SMP vs L'Manberg War, while the rest is history.

The server as we know it has ended - by this point - 3 years ago, but are some of us still OBSESSED with it? Is it because of the creators part of it? Well duh, they are integral to the server. Is it because of the lore? That only came in quite later and in the early days, people weren't even aware that a story was being written. Is it because of the factions, countries and alliances that the server had produced? The only one of those factions and countries most remembered nowadays is L'Manberg, it was THE SOLE TRUE COUNTRY of the Dream SMP, there are others that came after it, but I would say the significance of the Dream SMP's factions, countries and alliances diminished overtime ever since L'Manberg was wiped off the face of the server. For me, the Dream SMP was the greatest thing to ever happen to Minecraft since its golden age of the early 2010s, pure escapism. It came out of no where during the pandemic but it kept the spirits of me and millions up through its own little charm and entertainment factor. It created careers for many and the changed the lives of many more. It was a SMP of dreams, it is the Dream SMP.
