I am born and raised in the Uk

So I have been a fan of Markiplier since 2014 and I think I have probably watched 90% of the videos he has uploaded since then

Sadly I was slightly too young when the your welcome tour originally happened so I missed that opportunity and since then I have been hoping for some kind of meet and greet or panel in the uk but sadly it hasn’t happened

I know he is obviously busy and being socially awkward myself I appreciate that he isn’t the best when it comes to meeting and engaging with fans

I know it’s a little parasocial but like, he has been a part of my life for nearly 12 years. My best friend and I originally bonded over both liking and watching Markiplier and now we live in a flat together

I listen to distractible probably 3 to 4 times a week minimum and it has been one of the things that has gotten me through the stress of adult life

I don’t expect to have like a long conversation or anything but just the opportunity to see him in person and give him just a genuine heartfelt thank you

Some of my favorite content of mark's was his playthroughs of Doom and Doom Eternal. I know he didn't have the time for this third entry due to the final march that was getting Iron Lung out, but with that almost wrapped up with the upcoming limited dvd and blueray release, I'm really hoping he comes back to the franchise just in time for the DLC for DOOM: The Dark Ages that comes out on the 8th.

The game I got halfway through of and started watching a movie instead. I wanted to see if it went further then just the captcha and to hear Marks comments on the game. It looked like a slop horror game and now knowing it was AI imagery (had my thoughts it was AI from gemini logo plus the telltale signs of AI edited images) and creator name being not so savery. I get why he deleted it and I am kinda glad. I didn't need to hear him going top left, center, bottom right, bottom left the whole time.

Every time I've watched this movie, I've been so confused about why Ava asks him if he's sure it's a skeleton. Like yeah, what else would it be? It just hit me that she's obviously aware of the X-ray camera and what she's asking isn't: "Are you sure it was a skeleton and not X." It's: "Are you sure that thing isn't *alive?"*

This has absolutely no bearing on the rest of the plot, it's just me realizing something that everyone else probably got the first time lol.

Is anyone else disappointed by the game in Mark's newest video? The usage of AI generated images, the shoddy voice recognition, and not to mention the developers name being a Dogwhistle? I'm sure Mark just didn't know about the developer's username, but the entire game likely being coded by AI just feels so... lazy. I feel bad that Mark had to waste his time on something like that but I guess he enjoyed it, so who knows.

EDIT: It seems like Mark took the video down earlier. Props to him for listening to the community and I hope he can take some time to look a little bit closer into the games he's playing. I understand him having a few oversights, though, especially since in the midst of finishing up everything for Iron Lung, he probably just wants to get back into recording and playing games again. This post is also NOT to fault Mark for ANYTHING, as it's hard to gauge if a game uses Generative/Assistive AI in its development until after you've already played the game, and dogwhistles are just that, it's hard sometimes to tell what is and what isn't a dogwhistle unless you already know. Props to Mark again though for listening to his community when we're calling certain things out and I hope everyone and Mark has a good night/morning/timezone.

was there something bad about it that i missed? i only got like halfway through

First time ever I was watching a video and got removed while I was watching. And omg what a good moment he picked, my player stopped working right after the game asked Mark "when you are alone at home, is someone watching you?" Mark clicked no, my player stopped the video, and my heart did stopnt.

Anyway, silly things, hope the video comes back up. It was a cool game. Happy 4th yall

i think it's becuase the game was heavly made with AI, no offical statement yet, what are youre guys thoughts?
