Transphobia and self perception

So Ive come across this meme (and some other ones that are even more offensive) on Instagram today that depicted a trans woman in a pretty offensive way, basically playing into the whole “trans women are just men in dresses” stereotype.I’m a closeted trans woman and I haven’t really come out to anyone yet. I’ve told some close friends that I’m nonbinary and more feminine, but that’s about it. I also haven’t started transitioning yet part of the reason is that I’m an androgynous model (20 yo)and I get mistaken for a cis woman pretty often. But I know that as I get older, some of the features that help me pass right now might change, and honestly that scares me.Seeing that meme kind of hit a nerve because one of my biggest fears is that if I do transition one day, people won’t see me as a woman. They’ll just see a man playing dress up . A caricature. A joke.Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I don’t think this is just about one meme. I think there’s a discussion to be had about how these stereotypes affect trans people, especially those who are still questioning, closeted, or considering transition.
Like, how many people have delayed coming out because they’re afraid of being seen that way? How many of us have internalized those stereotypes and started applying them to ourselves?

Finding a job as a trans person !

So I live in the middle of nowhere so it’s already difficult (+ I live in the poorest area of the country) and the other day I went to a job interview (ice cream shop) and when I arrived they started reading my CV and when the interviewer read my name (haven’t changed it yet) she looks me dead in the eye and says “oh sorry we only hire woman” and asks me to leave lol.

I’m a graphic design student I don’t have that much free time so I can only apply to part time jobs, I have so much stuff I need to buy like a new laptop for example because the one that I have was issued by my art school and I’ll have to give it back in like a month and even though I found like a secondhand laptop that is pretty decent for like 300 bucks since I don’t have a job I can’t afford it and the only income that I have is like the 20 bucks my dad gives me from time to time.So that and other stuff I have to buy because next year I want to move in with my partner who lives in the uk (I’m from / I live in Western Europe) and literally the only way I’ve had to pay for a plane ticket to go stay with them during the summer was by not going out for months and not buying anything for myself.

Tbh idk what to do I’m desperate and at this point I’m willing to anything to get some money so if any of you got any tips or any ideas I’m willing to hear whatever you guys have to say.

Hope y’all are having a great day <3
