This just needs a good wash, right?

This just needs a good wash, right?

Just bought this Blackstone at Costco. Went to do my first wash/season, did my warm soap mixture, thought I got it all, looks like there's some soap residue and tiny bits of this rag that I used to wash it. I turned the heat all the way up to get it hot to apply my seasoning, and discovered this. I obviously don't want to season this with this stuff on here so will reclean it, but my question is, basically, this will all come out in the next wash, if I used a sponge or whatever, right?

I won't be able to get to this until tomorrow, am I doing long-term damage by having attempted to clean it like this, kinda failed, and then leaving it until the afternoon tomorrow? I recognize this is dumb and nooby but I just bought this and don't want it to be ruined 😭

Ty for your help

Garbage disposal questions

Hi all,

My wife and I just bought a house a few weeks ago, first-time home buyers, we've both lived in apartments for 10+ years, so we've never really had an incentive/desire to learn this kind of stuff. Now that I have a house, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about general house maintenance so I'm not paying an arm and a leg for every project, which leads me here.

The kitchen doesn't have a garbage disposal, and as the dish-doer, it has become something I can't live without (our current apt of 3+ years has one). I bought the Insinkerator C3000 at Costco after doing some general research on brands/lines/price, but when I went to go and install, it was larger than I expected and is too large to fit neatly under the sink without having to mess around with the plumbing down there.

I have a quote from a plumber for $350 to fix it, and I'm willing to pay that, but I was curious to source some outside opinions. Given what it looks like down there, is this something I could reasonably do myself, or is this a project I should leave to a plumber? Is $350 a fair quoted price? If this is something I can do myself, anyone have an idea of maybe a trusted YT channel or somewhere I could look for a guide for this?

Appreciate your time, new home ownership is daunting sometimes lol.
