Final Goodbye Terribler-Side (by Me) - Reduction Checkpoint Preview

The Terribler-Sides are a sequel to the Terrible Sides (Peteypops Terrible Mountain) and this is a sneak peek from my newest room! If you're complaining about the lack of decoration, well, that's the whole point.

Rate my room otherwise, I'm quite proud of the gameplay!

Very Much Inspired by In Filtration! "Track Attack" first part

  • Blue Circular zip movers will move in a circle pattern (non-returning).
  • Red Circular zip movers will move in a circle pattern.
  • Normal zip movers will move all other zip movers of the same colour (non-returning).
  • Coloured lasers will move all zip movers of the same colour.
  • Red lasers will kill the player.

54 Minute Speedrun (10 minutes faster than previous PB!) Thought I'd share some highlights

Note: If it looks like some clips are duplicated, it's because I did the same thing twice

Note: Cancelled super is probably misleading, I just didn't jump the full distance

Note: I do not know how to cpop or cornerboost consistently at all lol

Take part in the jam! I'm running a contest called Showjam, take part if you're interested!

Showjam is an old project idea, brought back to life. The original flop is being restored in a much simpler and funner form, with mapping open to almost everybody!

Showjam is for newer players, introducing the fundamentals of modded Celeste in a way which makes it fun for everybody.

Beginner Maps – Shows newer players the fun and intuitive ways modded mechanics can be used and combined in a map to make a map feel different AND fun.

Harder Maps – Shows the more advanced players how different mechanics can be combined for difficulty, speed, and precision, for funner and flow-ier gameplay.

Showjam hopes to achieve a status where people feel welcome in contributing and without feeling rushed, creating maps feels fun and getting to know the editor without much restrictive garbage!

So much customization! (Terrible Helper)

  • First image: Available customization (with more to come)
  • Second image: Current language file descriptions

No coding yet because I'm very bad at coding lol

Look at how I've improved as a mapper from last year... (Terrible Sides vs. TerriblER Sides)

What supposed difficulty would both be too? I'm quite bad at judging ):

What's your favourite Strawberry Jam OST?

Personally my favourite is Expert Lobby heartside, then paint probably.

My least favourite is Green Star Lake.

How to cancel block triggers consistently?

I try to get to the other side of the movable without activating it by touch the first time. Do not know what the tech is called or how to do it consistently. Can you help me with this please?

Has olympus news been okay?

There hasn't been enough Olympus news for a while now. I feel like something's wrong. Are they just out of news or something.

Who knew jellyfish gameplay could be so... obnoxious... (PTrM, Daily Logs 2)

QUESTION FOR MODS or someone who knows the rules

Are daily logs okay? Well, if I showcase a different room or feature each day? Or do I space them out to 5 days or so and bunch it into one?

This room made me really dislike springs (Peteypops Terribler Mountain / PTM2)

Mod developed by me: Name is Peteypops Terribler Mountain

Mod is unreleased.

Why is the D-Sides Farewell Moonberry like that?

I just watched it. And watching the gameplay get progressively glitchier and more corrupted made me realize just how differently feeling it is from the rest of the gameplay. The last Resort segment especially got me wondering.

So, what inspired Monika to make that? Is it just an old map, or is it something more? Nostalgic? Otherworldly? I'd like to hear your opinion!

Any suggestions or feedback on my updated flow? (Lockjam Blackside)

Last time I uploaded this level (around a day ago) people had some contrast or clarification issues so let me make a list:

  • Last time, the crumble blocks were completely black. Now they have both white and black crumbling parts and an outline for further clarification and contrast against strong background colours.
  • Somebody said not being able to differentiate each bubble type is bad. I have a few arguments against that, mainly being: In the first section, each bubble type is introduced and the player learns to link the different shades in a safe environment. Secondly: Each bubble is differently coloured enough to a point where they look quite different. Thirdly: They make quite different sounds when entered.

Hopefully these points clear up any confusion from last time. But I have some further clarifications:

  • Grey springs do not refill your dash.
  • Dark clouds are fragile, bright clouds are not.
  • The diamond shaped objects are spinners.

Thank you for all the feedback and I'm looking forward to a full release.
