I’m being put on Rinvoq after previously tried Xeljanz with no effect. Has this ever worked for anyone. I’ve also failed a bunch of other biologics.
Last 6 months I’ve become aware that working out too hard will give me pretty severe flares. Both in the joints that was active and also in the rest of my body. These flares used to calm down in 2-3 days.
But a couple of weeks ago I tried rowing a couple of days in a row and it has put me in the worst flare I have ever experienced and it doesn’t seem to calm down.
What worries me is that my legs (hips, knees, feet), who previously was only mildly affected, has completely blown up with inflammation and it has my body aching with pain. I’ve never felt this bad.
For context: I’m still searching for a biologic that works, having failed 5.
- I’m worried that I have permanently inflamed my legs, that I have provoked this flare that has made this disease take hold of my legs. Any similar experiences?
- how sensitive are you to working out? How do you work out without provoking flares?
I’m on year 3 since being diagnosed. Have had symptoms for 5 years. Joints only. Tried 5 biologics with no luck.
Last couple of months it feels like the disease has switched gears. Spread to all major joints. Prednisone cannot hold it back any longer. How long do people usually go before it turns really bad?
