My (F) grandfather never knew who his grandfather was. Aka, my great grandpa never knew his dad. His mother died and refused to tell anyone. My papa is 82 and it’s something that he would like to know before he passes on. He took an AncestryDNA test and I’ve been looking through it but not much progress has been made. I think that a Y-DNA test could help significantly. Is this the right move? What specific Y-DNA test would suite my needs the best?
