To everyone here who insists you should only buy shoes from specialized footwear brands rather than fashion brands

…. Yes you might be right. My reunion derby’s from mfpen started to come loose at the heel block on the second day of wear. They also started making a funny squeaking noise due to this part now being loose. I know I know… I’ve seen people write here to buy shoes from brands that are specialized in it . But the design on these is lovely and exactly what I was looking for so decided on them anyway. Sharing this as a warning for other interested buyers 😐

Sending oversized furniture package

Hi all,
I need to ship a vintage lightweight cane lounge chair from Belgium to Santiago, Chile and am considering using FedEx International Freight through my business account.
The chair dimensions are large, approximately:
● 170 cm (67”) long
● 62 cm (24”) deep
● 66 cm (26”) high
My plan is to wrap the chair in foam and bubble wrap and build a heavy-duty custom cardboard carton around it using triple-wall cardboard.
A few questions:
1. Would FedEx Freight accept a package of this size if it is not palletized?
2. Does the outer packaging need to be a perfectly rectangular box, or can it be a custom-made carton as long as it is rigid and well protected? The chair has a irregular almost sculpture shape form.
3. Has anyone shipped large furniture pieces internationally through FedEx without a crate?

The chair is valuable vintage furniture, so I want to make sure the packaging will be accepted and remain eligible for any damage claims. Any help is appreciated!
