What is it like living in San Jose, the city with the highest GDP per capita in the world?

I'm not American, and I recently found out that San Jose has the highest GDP per capita of any city in the world. I don't know much about the city apart from the fact that it's a huge tech hub, so I'm really curious. What's everyday life like?

What was it like living in Canada in the 90s?

I wasn't around in the 90s, and we always hear so much about what life was like in the US back then through various forms of media, so I've always wondered what it was like in Canada.

For those who remember or know someone who does, what was everyday life like?

Are BMWs, Mercedes and Audis actually considered luxury cars in the US?

I'm from India, where seeing a BMW, Mercedes or Audi mostly makes you assume the person is pretty wealthy, or at least very upper-middle-class.

I was wondering whether this is the case in the US too since incomes are much higher there. Do Americans still see them as luxury cars, or are they common enough that they don't really give off that impression anymore?

I'm genuinely curious
