I just updated my app. Now I need to login with username, password and a text message every time. Even if I setup for Face ID. it was working fine before this current update.
Anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Earlier today, my power went out very briefly, maybe for half a second, and then immediately came back on. My AC was running at the time. I was at the front of the house, and when I came back inside, I noticed the compressor was making a loud knocking/grinding/rattling noise. I immediately shut the AC off.
I checked the stove clock and realized the power outage had happened about 5 minutes earlier, so the compressor had apparently been rattling that entire time.
My questions are:
Could this have caused any damage to my 18-year-old Scroll AC compressor?
Is there a way to add a delay-on-break or delay-on-make timer to prevent this from happening again when I’m not home?
What protective mechanisms are normally built into HVAC systems to prevent damage from brief power interruptions like this? I assume the system designers anticipated this kind of situation.
