How to add cover art to music files

I’ve seen so many Catfish fans on here and on TikTok with Spotify local files complete with old songs and live performances with different cover photos for each of the songs and I think they look really clean. I just can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it.
I’m currently making a Best of the Bottlemen playlist for my Spotify with old live performances, unreleased songs, covers, etc, but I feel like it would just look tacky if none of them have covers. So if anybody knows how to it would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
Thank you!

One last theory - The website.

As many of you know one theory that is still doing the rounds is 11 photos to signify a full new album. I believe there may be some truth to this theory, as some of what we’ve seen recently has been noticeably out of character for whoever is running this thing - and I think a few hints have been dropped along the way.

Firstly, in the previous photo written at the bottom of the image is a Spanish phrase, ‘Omega Cuarenteno’, which has a historical meaning to describe a variety of 40 day periods or 40 day break, most commonly in early maternity and agriculture. Tomorrow, July 8, marks 40 days since the start of the series of images on black backgrounds. Which began with the crocodiles photo all that time ago.

- The new photo also has a very noticable 8 bollards at its forefront 👀 8 July teaser?!

Now, the website is clearly closing in on coming full circle.
We’re back to Llandudno. We’ve had 10 out of 11 photos. And it just so happens to land on the aforementioned ‘omega cuarenteno’.
Coincidence?

ALSO - The current photo has been up for much longer than usual. Seems to me as though they’re waiting for a certain date… 🙏

Singles covers

We’re 2 full days away from Friday, that’s enough for 2 new photos in the format that we’ve seen the last 2 in. Would it be mental to suggest that the band are giving us the covers to the 4 singles off of a completely new album?

Or that they’re going to give us 1 more in the next 2 days, and the 3 dots signifies that the first is already with us (Showtime)??

Everything I know so far + theories

Right then. It’s clear that the new website update can only mean 1 of 2 things, either:

A. It’s nothing to do with the band and we’re being trolled.

Or

B. The release is ready to go, the announcement is imminent, and the band wants us to speculate and theorise as to what might happen next.

So that’s exactly what I’m going to do.

I have kept close tabs on everything Catfish and the Bottlemen ever since Tyrants was played at Spurs last summer. I’ll refuse to ever admit they’re gone - even if this is a hoax.

I was first to discover catfishandthebottlemen.co.uk, and actually first came across the site on Thursday 21st May, over 24 hours before I posted it here. At the time, alongside the website, the official Catfish and the Bottlemen logo would consistently appear. It has since been taken off.

As for the second image, this was a response by AI on the 22nd of May (I have attached a photo at the end to prove this date) - the same day CloudFlare activated. According to Google - CloudFlare is what’s responsible for keeping the website owner’s identity hidden. This means that if this AI response was recorded before the CloudFlare activation, there may have been some truth to it - although I have had some pretty bonkers AI responses in the past so maybe don’t count on it being completely true.

Now then, if this is real, whatever the band are about to announce hasn’t been prepared overnight. Work on recording and producing the music likely started in and around Autumn 2025, which perfectly aligns with what might’ve been some very sneaky teasers from people around the band. First we have Dave Sardy. What a bloke. His Instagram page is mental, but he’s posted some very Catfish-like posts in late 2025, such as the two attached. Teasers this early in production would never be allowed to reveal much, but just capture brief themes connecting the post owner (Sardy) to the band. The 4th album has been introduced as ‘recorded in LA’ and ‘co-produced by Van McCann and Dave Sardy’ so while posting a black and white photo of America may not seem odd at the time, it aligns well with the band’s project, and what the rest some other individuals were up to at the time. Similar sort of thing to what Larry had done with the ‘Abbey Road’ sign teaser in 2021, although it seems quite clear that project was scrapped.

At the time of the Sardy post, rumours arose that the band were all in America (including Van). Around a week later James posts a black and white video of what seems to be him drumming an unheard song many believed it to be Soundcheck at the time. I’m doubtful. Although, what I do believe is that this video was taken from in the LA recording studio, as this black and white clip does not look like the home set up that is seen in many of his other drumming videos.

James posted several clips and shots of him and his drums in autumn and winter last year - a few of which are attached above. Most notably - one which Kai left a “👀” in the comments. Nothing more. Admittedly he might just be showing appreciation for his mate’s drumming prowess, but there’s other ways to do that.

As I’m sure most of you remember, right after this series of vague communications from Dave and James - we had the leaked American tour dates on catfishandthebottlemen.net

Tour dates don’t produce themselves. I believe that the band was supposed to go on a world tour straight after the stadium tour, to try and rebuild the traction that they had lost the previous year. Though this didn’t happen, because there was a realisation at some point that the band could play the stadium shows as a ‘farewell’. Hugely powerful nights - Tyrants - radio silence. Build the speculation with questions like ‘are Catfish done?’ ‘Will they ever come back?’ Give the public a chance to step back and really admire what an unbelievable band they were, and desperately hope they’ll return. Build publicity through silence. All the while this gives the band time to step back and solely focus on building LP4. Return with a bang in the summer, new tunes are suddenly blasting through every set of speakers in the country throughout the summer, sell thousands of tickets to an arena tour over winter/new year. Momentum can then be carried into 2027 festival season. Catfish could top the charts again.

Following this, we had Kai posting a new guitar in its packaging on his Instagram story - many fans claimed was the exact same that Bondy had used during his time with the band. Though I am no guitar expert - so can neither confirm nor deny whether that is true or not.

Finally, Spotify this week. This could be a result of many fans over-optimistically searching for an unreleased song like I am - but at some point between Saturday and today, Spotify’s search results subtly changed. When you search ‘Suntitled’ on Spotify, either Showtime or Catfish and the Bottlemen is the top result. I have had this tried and tested by both new accounts and friends accounts - Spotify’s algorithm has now firmly connected the term ‘Suntitled’ to Catfish and the Bottlemen, and perhaps even more significantly - fellow LP4 single ‘Showtime’.
Please Note: Both Catfish and the Bottlemen and Showtime have appeared as a search result under the term ‘Suntitled’ for a long time now - perhaps even since the song’s release on EAFC - they have just never been the top result.
Previously, ‘Suntitled’ by sunfade would be the top result, followed by various tunes named ‘untitled’ dependent on your listening history and preferences.
My guess would be that the song is now on Spotify, it just isn’t public yet.

I also made a post a few days ago about why I believe that the picture we initially saw on the website would make a great teaser for Suntitled - feel free to check it out on my profile. 👍

Honestly - I think we’re back

‘With my hand but not the face, please’ - Suntitled

In the direct sunlight.

‘Of course you want the sun, after the hard work’s been done’ - A photo of a guy fishing at sunset - after working hours in the sun.

‘You went to find some peace of mind’ - The guy’s fishing. Peace of mind is literally what fishing is known for.

‘And there’s no point now, just lost all faith’
‘And it feels like it’s been… forever’ - The band want us to believe they’re gone before an announcement is made. They want us to ‘lose all faith’. Probably so the shock factor is greater, and the buzz around the release is bigger.

‘Then it finally sorts it all out’

All my theories as to why this image would make a perfect teaser for Suntitled - and why we still haven’t had an announcement. Thought I’d share. 👍

Suntitled soon??

This photo has been on catfishandthebottlemen.co.uk all week - potentially a new webpage being designed.
Also shows some correlation to Suntitled…
