Is the concept of happiness just a... myth?

What does it mean for you to be "happy" ? The older I get, the more I realize that I can never achieve true happiness in life. To me, happiness is just a feeling that comes and goes - just like sadness or anger.

Idk... this might be an obvious popular believe here but I'd like to hear some thoughts of you guys about it.

Does anyone here actually believe to have "achieved happiness" ?

Planning a 5 day retreat/ digital detox - looking for some tips

Next week I will be going on a little solo retreat/digital detox in a small rented hut near a forest without my phone and with nothing else besides a few books and maybe my guitar.

I will bring enough food and water for the week and am planning to use the time to do some hiking, thinking, meditation etc.

To be honest, I'm quite nervous because I'm pretty addicted to my phone right now and I've just quit smoking weed like 9 days ago so this will be quite the challenge for me.

I'm also battling some mild to moderate depression and feelings of loneliness a lot, especially without any easy distractions like scrolling or weed and alcohol.

Can anyone who's ever done something similar maybe share some advice or point out some important things I might haven't thought about?

Thanks in advance.
