Why do simple customer service requests take so many steps now?

I had a small billing issue recently that should have been easy to fix, but it turned into a full process of chatbot loops, waiting for a real person, repeating the same information, and being transferred around. What surprised me was that nobody was rude or unhelpful. The system itself just seemed designed in a way that made a simple request take way longer than necessary. It made me wonder if customer service has become harder because agents have less power to actually solve things, or because companies are relying too much on automated systems that don’t handle edge cases well.

I am 21(M) student. I want to start a professional marketing firm where I'll be handling social media platforms of professionals like academic personnel. I've managed and grown the LinkedIn account of the DVC in my university and therefore the business may scale up. However procrastination is holding me down. One moment I feel like I don't have the skills, the other moment I am thinking the idea is stupid 🥲 It's really holding me down and I want fellow marketers to guide me. How do you handle procrastination?

A few days ago, we began to research what brands are releasing the newest designs in the intimate clothing category since the lingerie fashion is rapidly changing with new styles, materials, and more comfortable innovations.

Initially, we thought that only luxury brands dictated the trends. Nevertheless, on further investigation, we found out that both high-end and medium-price brands introduce new collections on a regular basis to keep abreast with current fashion trends.

According to our study, such brands as Victoria Secret, Calvin Klein, and Savage X Fenty are famous due to the release of stylish intimate clothes, bold designs, and seamless fits with fashionable styles. The brands are usually fashionable with comfort and details like lace, mesh, and simple cuts.

We also observed that such brands as Aerie and ThirdLove pay more attention to everyday comfort and at the same time provide modern and updated designs that can attract a large number of people.

Another thing we have noticed when going through the listings on Alibaba is that, several of these suppliers emphasize on the latest design, fashion trend and new collection when selling intimate apparel to wholesale customers.

We have also discovered that the recent designs of intimate apparel are a combination of international brands and wholesale providers, which offer customers a large variety of styles.

Men formal hats deals

I visited a men’s formal accessories shop to buy headwear two days ago. I wanted something stylish. I wanted something affordable. I wanted something for formal outfits. But when I checked… I felt disappointed. Some hats looked good but had no real discount. Some “offers” felt fake. Some prices were still high for basic designs. I could not trust them. I could not decide confidently.

Then I visited another shop in the same area. Some formal hats had small discounts but only on old stock. Some wool caps looked nice but still expensive after sale. I remembered buying a “deal hat” before that still felt overpriced later. That made me hesitate even more.

To check more variety and options while scrolling many online marketplaces including alibaba… Some sellers offered big discounts on men’s formal hats. Some had seasonal clearance sales. Some had bundle deals for events or weddings. Some were cheap street formal caps and some were premium wool felt hats with small discounts. Some listings showed attractive prices but reviews said quality depends more on fabric and stitching than discount level. This made me excited but also confused again.

Now I am thinking online has better deals but local feels safer for checking real quality. Both feel useful in different ways. What would you do in my place?
