I took CS classes every year in middle school, but I stopped in high school because I thought I wanted to go to med school, and my parents discouraged me from continuing. When I started to get back into coding before my junior year, I, for some reason, still decided not to take a CS class, and now I can't fit it into my senior year schedule. The only thing I have on my application is a random, basic Python course I took. Do I have any chance at x+cs, and is there any way I can improve my chances last minute before this admissions cycle?

I'd still be happy to go to UT for just neuroscience (and I have the grades/ECs to get in for that), but I really like the neuro+cs program.

I asked my teacher a while ago before summer, but I doubt I’d be able to contact her now. How do I know if she accepted the email because it said that my essay was accepted immediately after I submitted.

I applied to IYNA Capstone and Rice Neurocamp thinking that I’d totally get in, but I ended up getting rejected by both 😭

Tbf I did not spend much time on those essays and I still have pretty decent summer plans, but damn. I thought these were like accepted if you fill out the form competently type programs.
