So I'm a level 12 Warrior doing a palace quest that involves killing a Lich. I do not have any magic weapons yet so I am stuck on what to do. I have heard that failing a palace quest has "severe concenquences" I tried checking the nearest mages guild but It didnt have any. Any help will do, thank in advanced!

So im new to Diablo 2 and playing as a Barbarian. While I dont want to look up a build guide its very clear I straight up need some help. Ive restarted twice now as every time I get up to the end of Act 2 I get wiped by the common enemies. Any and all tips would be appreciated, thanks in advanced.
