Visiting Chesapeake

Hello!

I'm going down on a work trip from Nova Scotia for the week of August 24th, and I'm wondering where to eat, what to visit and where to go. I love all kinds of food, I am open to hikes, museums (the aquarium and Virginia beach is already on the list), any kinds of adventures, whatever you guys deem necessary to do. Any and all recommendations are welcome!

How much did you lose in the first few months?

So to start I’m 5’11, got diagnosed with T2D last year and cw is 366.6 (May 15th) and my sw at the 1mg dose was 377.9 (April 7th). For the first time in my life the food noise is gone, I finish half my plate and I’m full and I can save it for later, I’m not at the fridge at three am like a rabid raccoon and I’m trying to keep those positives in mind. Im weighing myself everyday and when the scale jumps back up I have to remind myself it’s water retention and salt and I didn’t gain 5 pounds overnight and it’s consecutively going down but I also see people online losing a dramatic amount of weight within the first few months and I just wanted to hear some peoples stories about their journey.

Tax the rich approach

I will start off by saying there is a lot I don’t know when it comes to politics, and I’m just trying to become better educated but I saw what Zohran Mamdani did in New York (I get that Nova Scotia/New York is like comparing apple and oranges) and he was able to close a 12 billion dollar budget deficit by taxing the rich. Could Halifax/Nova Scotia raise more revenue through higher taxes on wealthy individuals or corporations instead of cutting essential programs? Thanks in advance!
