Davinci Resolve keeps crashing to the point of having to restart my PC

I've been trying for weeks now to edit a simple video in DaVinci Resolve, of the onboard video of a race car with a few bit of info overlayed on the top (positions, flags, etc). Not a particularly complex job by any means, and not one that requires Fusion or anything of that intensity. Despite this, I am unable to complete the edit after nearly two months, as DaVinci Resolve keeps crashing HARD.

The symptom that the crash is imminent is when the preview display stops responding, and then the entire application freezes a few seconds later. This can take as much as five minutes to manifest, but sometimes occurs within thirty seconds of opening the project. The crashes are severe enough to render task manager useless, and leaves me unable to interact with my PC in any way. A ctrl + alt + del will usually get me back to a menu after a several minute delay, where I can restart the PC and all is good again. This is the only software that I am experiencing any kind of crashing issue on this PC, so any help would be advised.

Specs:

DaVinci Resolve v21.0.2 (but was crashing the same on the prior version)

Nvidia Studio Driver 610.62

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-Core Processor (4.30 GHz)

128 GB Ram

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 (31 GB) (with AMD Radeon Graphics (2 GB))

Storage 803 GB of 18.19 TB used

Got the bee drinks station set up for the heatwave

Don't forget to look after the bees in the heat! Got a shallow dish and put some gravel in it to ensure it isn't too deep for them, and put it next to their favourite plant (the lavender). I've found that the bees struggle with the regular bird bath, as they fall in and can't easily get out.
