Dream Air arrived today!
Preordered Jan 23 this year. Just picked it up today. I was worried about posts calling scam, but Pimax came through. I was using a vive pro 2, so I ordered the light house version since I have index controllers and base stations.
Pros: HOLY SHIT the image quality is way better than the vp2 was in every way. The color saturation and contrast is fantastic. The resolution is razor sharp too. Honestly its a better picture than I was expecting. The lenses are clear basically through the whole thing. The sound is good, but i think id rather use dedicated over ear audio. The light weight has no inertia when you move your head which adds to the immersion.
Cons: the gasket doesn't fit perfectly. The audio stems are a little stiff. Its annoying having to fiddle with velcro straps behind your head when putting it on. Ill probably order the after market studio form stuff, which i shouldn't have to when spending 2300 bucks. I tried calibration for eye tracking a few times where I followed the dots with my eyes but it kept giving errors saying calibration failed. Ill mess with it more tomorrow.
