Is 4+ interviews the norm now?

Haven’t been actively searching for a job in the last 5 years and I know it’s as competitive as it’s ever been, but is 4 or more interviews the norm now?

Here’s the breakdown:

1st interview - 45 minutes
2nd interview - 1 hour
3rd interview - 45 minutes
4th interview - 30 minutes
5th inteview - pending

Still waiting on next steps for the job offer or next interview for 2 weeks or more, brutal.

EDIT: In the tech field.
