I’m a CABS Driver, ask me anything!

Hello! I know I did this about a year ago but I wanted to rebump it for new students coming in. I’m a student bus driver! Any questions you have about the bus service or what it’s like working here, feel free to ask!

Last time my employer found my Reddit account (Hi guys!) so that was a lot of fun.

Obligatory mention that although I am a University Employee I am not speaking on behalf of Transportation and Traffic Management or the University in any way. These are all my opinions based on my experience. Nothing I say should be construed as an official university statement.

Have fun!

Deferred despite no blood loss or hematoma

I just got deferred from BioLife (nobody at the center told me I would be deferred, i just saw it randomly on my app.) My first time donating I had hematomas in both of my arms and a RBC loss, that was over a month ago. I did a full month of donations no problem, and this last Sunday they just can’t get the machine to like me. The phlem was able to stick me in my other arm and got my blood back. She told me that I didn’t have any blood loss or a hematoma, and they didn’t make me wait at the center or eat anything.

Suddenly, I see today that I got deferred? I didn’t think I would if I didn’t have a RBC loss? Is this the dreaded 8 week deferal? The staff never told me anything about being deferred (the nurse came over and even said I didn’t have a loss). Should I call and try and figure it out, go somewhere else, or just take it on the chin?
