So I’m a senior soon to graduate (literally this Sunday) on the BS in computer science track. The last course that I needed for the major was Theory of Computation which I took this spring, which I did not end up meeting the passing threshold of a C- or higher.
Anyway I’m super stressed out because I have no idea what to do. Frankly I am not in the financial or logistical position to retake that class, and the class is only offered in the spring meaning id have to wait until spring ‘27 if I was in the position to retake the class. Or I try to find a different college to take it online and transfer the credits but money is still an issue there I can’t afford to pay 4k for a class.
The last option I thought of was last second switching my degree to a BA instead. If I do this. Theory of Computation isn’t required and I already meet the other requirements for the degree by default because it’s less core and elective courses. The only thing would be me feeling like I sold myself short in the back of my head especially since I was only 1 class off from getting the BS. I’ve sent out some emails to the prof,advisor etc regarding the issue but just wanted to hear other thoughts.
