My new excuse to meet all of you!

After looping endlessly between the KTM Adv 250, Scram 440, the new Triumph 350s, and the V-Strom 250SX… I finally bought my first bike — and yes, the V-Strom it is. 🤍

I had taken two test rides before buying it, and honestly, I didn’t enjoy it much either time. Maybe because it was my first time riding a bigger bike in city traffic, or maybe because you never really push a bike properly when it doesn’t belong to you.

For the last 5–6 months, I was genuinely confused about which bike to buy as my first one. Then suddenly, 3 days ago, I called my nearest Suzuki dealer and asked him to book the white V-Strom for me.

Even after booking it, I still wasn’t fully sure about my decision. But yesterday, I finally took delivery and rode it around 35 km back home on the highway… and damn, what a riding experience this bike offers.

It feels so nimble, easy to ride, and honestly perfect for Indian roads. I covered the whole stretch in around 20 minutes, and throughout the ride I kept waiting for vibrations to kick in at higher RPMs… but surprisingly, there were almost none. The engine just felt smooth everywhere.

Yes, I could notice a slight left pull on my unit. I’ll probably get it checked during the first service. But honestly, it only appears if you leave both hands off the handlebar, and realistically, nobody does that often on Indian highways anyway.

Overall, I absolutely love my choice. In photos and videos the bike looks small, but in real life it feels massive — especially when parked beside my father’s OG 2007 Splendor Plus. 😂

Ever since getting this bike, I’ve been finding random excuses just to go out for a ride. I even started talking to people I used to avoid and visiting people I never visited before… all because now I have a reason to ride. 😂

So yes, this is now my first bike and officially my first love.

Planning to do a monsoon ride somewhere in Maharashtra this year. ❤️

Thank you to everyone online whose reviews and experiences helped me make this decision.

Earlier in this channel I made a post asking best tourer bike under strict 3 lakhs. I was asking suggestions around KTM adv250, Triumph Tracker 350 and Scrambler 350x. But I completely avoided the fact that Triumph and KTM service is 130kms away from my place. The only 250cc+ vehicles I can opt in my city is from Suzuki, RE and Jawa.

Now I am confused between Vtstrom 250 and Scram 440. I am planning to spend remaining 50k on accessories, gears and future trips.

Which one should I go for? Should I even consider KTM and Triumphs ignoring the service distance?

I want good power, reliability, good mileage figures, comfort and good service experience.

I am pretty aligned towards Scram 440 for its look and premium feel, what do you suggest?

I am 6 feet tall, athletic build.

With a 3 lakhs budget which bike should I go for?

I really love the way adv 250 looks, its massive. But in same budget I can also opt for Tracker 350, Scrambler 350x with more power and torque.

I want bike which is good with mileage and cheap with maintenance and balanced with the fun of riding it. So the overall per km running costs should be less.

I am planning some long toures with this bike (400-500kms)

Only rode a 100cc scooty till date.

Please also suggest any good bike which I might be missing out in same budget.
