Why hasnt Naz been starting?
It seems like they were playing their best basketball with her as a starter. What went into the decision to move her back to the bench, and do starter by committee at the forward position?

I knew Genelle and her family growing up. We went to church. I was closer in age to her younger brothers. I remember her as being very sweet and kind. It's heartbreaking that this case went down the way that it did, and despite being found 2 months after her disappearance, she will likely never receive justice. Rest Peacefully Genelle.

Wilkinsburg Teen Identified Nearly 27 Years After Body Found in Basement
Genelle Princess Bradford, an 18-year-old Wilkinsburg teen who was found murdered in a locked basement in 1999, has been identified nearly 27 years later through DNA testing.
Bradford was reported missing on April 24, 1999, after leaving her job at the YWCA on Ross Avenue and walking home. She never arrived. She was weeks away from graduating from Wilkinsburg High School.
On June 28, 1999, workers cleaning a property at 604 North Avenue discovered human remains in a basement that had been nailed shut. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide caused by ligature strangulation. Bradford remained unidentified and was known only as Jane Doe for nearly three decades.
The breakthrough came through forensic DNA testing. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office partnered with Othram, a private Texas-based laboratory that builds genetic profiles from small or degraded DNA samples.
Using funding from a Pennsylvania state grant supporting the partnership since 2024, investigators developed a DNA profile from Bradford’s remains. That profile identified potential relatives, who were located and used to confirm her identity as Genelle Princess Bradford.
No suspect has been identified in her killing. The Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate.
“This technology is a testament to why we never stop investigating open cases,” said Allegheny County Police Superintendent Christopher Kearns. “Now that Genelle has been formally identified, we will continue to follow every lead available to us in the hopes of getting answers for her family.”
“We are thrilled that once again this partnership has allowed us to provide answers to a family that was left in the dark for so long,” said Mandy Tinkey, Director of Forensic Services at the Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner. “While the focus now shifts toward finding justice for Genelle, we are hopeful we can continue to provide answers for those impacted by the remaining cold cases we have shared with Othram.”
