Lately I've been dreaming of my boy Tobi who passed away 10 years ago. Today, July 5th was his birthday. My phone photos decided it was time to have a cry while reminiscing of my sweet boy. But I remembered that my new girl Eevee is so similar to Tobi. She has a lot of his same mannerisms and acts the same way he did. Sometimes I think they might share the same soul. Either way, I am so lucky to have had them both in my life at different times. In my house, my dogs will always get a birthday celebration 🎂

Because of the World Cup games, fireworks have been going off for the last couple of days where I live. Along with a little tent I purchased for her which she seems to love (last post) I've been wrapping her in blankies and giving her treats to calm her down. I also have a sweater wrap that I put on her on actual 4th of July. She's such a sweet girl and I hate to see her afraid. I used to love Independence Day but I hate it now 😔

Any tips to keep my girl more calm while fireworks go off?

I plan to decorate it with her toys and a blankie. But she loves going inside and just chillin in it 😁

She normally comes in after I enter my bathroom to do my poopoos, but this time she just went right in and made herself comfortable on my bathroom rug and waited for me. I was surprised cause this was a first! She totally understands the words "peepee" and 'poopoo" cause I make her go and use those words before bed time (normally peepee) but she goes poop sometimes too. I wonder if she sensed I was gonna go number 2 cause I used the term "poopoo"?? 😂

I noticed this small wound between my girl's toes on her back left paw. I dont think it's a tick but not 100% sure. It looks like a little circular wound filled with blood and it also has a tiny spot behind that may be a puncture wound. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and is acting normal but I catch her often licking it so I know it bothers her. Does anyone have any experience with a wound like this? Can it possibly be a potential allergic reaction to something she stepped on?
