When do to study logic and proof?
I'm relearning math to prep for an engineering degree (comp or cs or environmental) and I wonder when do I add logic and proof to my learning? Sometimes before algebra one?

I'm learning math from arithmetic level for a career change (comp.e/CS) and I have been wondering, how much of this do i have to remember?
I'm adhd with a weak memory, so I have to review plenty often for things to at last stick and while the 2nd time is far easier to understand. Do I need remember everything from arithmetic to pre-calcus? (what i plan to study)
Is there a subject or topic I need to hone in and master and just vaguely remember (but understand.) others?
I wish to change careers to the IT field and I'm look at the various options for a degree locally. I do not wish to leave my job for it as I can study during my day job just fine compared to home (we have a lot of down time.) as long as it has options for classes starting from 2-3pm.
So CS degree holders, where did you go to and what was your experience studying there? What programs/event they hold that helps you network and find jobs after studying? Did you feel your professors were good at their jobs? I myself felt a vast stark difference between KU and AOU.
I also have to ask, I will be going into the field in pretty much my 40s or close to. Would that pose a problem? I heard that no one in the private sector will hire me whatsoever and it a waste of time as they perf younger people in their 20s.
I wish to change careers and i was wondering about the logistics of having a collage degree then getting a diploma.
Do I get the same collage degree salary, if I used a diploma to change my job in the government sector? Or does working with the diploma gives me the lower salary?
