I hope future updates rebalance rewards
Play to day 3 in under 5 minutes? Get one item from a basic pool. Play to day 8 in half an hour? Get one item from an expanded pool. Makes sense.
Play to overtime day 1? Get one item, definitely won't be a life. Play to day 25/35/45/100? Spend 10/15/25 hours? Get one item from the same pool as day 16.
There are certain items (looking at you mop and spare lives) that are really helpful for certain runs (reincarnation, expanded messes). Getting those items through organic play is very unlikely late game--we have mastered the basics of the meals and don't lose many runs before day 16, let alone before day 8. So then we have to intentionally lose earlier if we want items from those pools, which isn't fun.
A 10 hour run deserves more reward than a 1 hour run, a run to day 45 is way harder than a run to day 30, which is way harder than a run to day 15. Rebalance the rewards to recognize the effort that gameplay past day 16 takes by increasing the loot (could add items from the previous pools in addition, could add more loot, could add guaranteed life, but definitely more loot).
