I think my newly repainted Arnold T2 and recently customized Fleischmann lok7 make for a great pair.
Seen here teaming up to pull about the longest train I can realistically run on my compact layout, up the hill to Oberstockingen.

Since my layout is fully detailed, I feel a need to visually upgrade my favourite locomotives to try and match the detail level of the scenery.
"Lily" is the second loco I bought second hand. Some might recognize her as the old Arnold T2 "Ploxemam". It's a nice little model, but the paint was chipping off and there were remnants of a messy detail paintjob.
So I stripped off all the paint, gave her a new spray paintjob, painted many details by hand and did a bit of weathering. The results are subtle, but I'm very happy with it!

Here's to you, old Leopold!
Old Leopold sure got his world to live in.
As a final chapter to my extensive vineyard build that seems to have interested so many people, I've decided to answer the demand and actually start producing the wine in N-scale 3D printed and handpainted bottles :). These are easily the tiniest things I've ever made. The whole thing borders on the ridiculous, but that makes me love it even more. And you could own one!
If you have enjoyed my modeling and want to support a musician who spends more and more of his time making miniature things for the sheer joy of it, your kind donation would really make my day.
Go to the "shop" area and for a slightly higher donation, I will mail you your very own authentic Tischwiler wine in 1:160!

"Shashlik" 2026 - Copper wire on skewer
Only 75 armatures left to make and I started adding the first permanent foliage. Woodland Scenics foliage, light green. Working just perfect for this purpose 👌

That's one more row for you :)
The most rewarding, least labour intensive part that is. Sped up for your viewing pleasure.
This ancient Arnold 060 was my first N scale loco that got me into the N scale hobby.

From the beginning I've been continually customizing and repainting it. Each time a little bit better when my skills improved and the detail of other locos and the layout itself kept surpassing it.

I noticed that I started liking it less and less, so today I decided to repaint and weather it again (4th time). Pretty pleased with the results, an improvement again, if I only didn't give it that matt clear coat at the end that turned out very shiny instead! Guess I should invest in a good modeling quality clear spray. Any recommendations?
