Are there any quieter options along the waterfront in Cobh to bring my son fishing for Mackeral? The pier gets kind of busy and he's only learning casting.

If anyone knows any other coastal spots please let me know. I'd travel anywhere along the coast between Ballycotton (too busy) and Carrigaline/kinsale.

First time growing tomatoes in Ireland outside of my treehouse. I usually grow inside. Will I need to net the plants from birds. Will they go for the tomatoes once they turn red? Or is that not a problem in Ireland?
