Napoleon says to season stainless steel griddle. Thoughts?

I bought this 36” griddle from BBQGUYS. Free to report they indeed deliver to the U.S. even though the model only appears in Napoleon’s Canadian site.

See the image I posted with the owner’s manual instructions. In no uncertain terms they say we should season the griddle (in basically the same way as a non SS top). Is this a case of a manufacturer not even knowing one of their own products? I know these griddles are a bit of an afterthought at Napoleon but this is surprising to me. Thoughts?

I have narrowed my search down to stainless steel griddles. I don't really want to debate that topic itself as it is simply a better fit for me (for others it might not be). Here are the models I am looking at. Are there any more models I should consider?

P.S. if you have a SS griddle I would love to hear what you love/hate about it.

I am leaning Napoleon at this point for the price, size, and positive warranty reputation

Apparently the BBQGUYS sells a 36" stainless steel model here in the US. Link here.

When I go to the Napoleon site I can't find that model. I only see a 30" version. The Canadian site does have that model. Link here.

For the price, a 36" stainless steel griddle sounds great to me. This would be my first griddle and I only would be cooking low temps breakfast foods.

What do you all think?

I am buying my first griddle soon. I have narrowed it down to these 3:

I see myself using this griddle 90% of the time for low temp breakfast foods. I have a nice Prestige Napoleon grill that I use for cooking stake and other things. In person, I love the Halo but I am concern about not being able to maintain low temps easily. My wife and others might use it too occasionally so something that "just works" would be a big win.
