PSA: Watch out for the exposed contacts of the Puck! Almost started a fire due to metallic smartwatch strap

So my smartwatch's metallic strap accidentally touched the Puck's exposed contacts and started sizzling due to a short circuit. The smartwatch was on its own charger and the strap of it hit the Puck at the exact wrong angle. Almost started a fire.

I consider this is completely my fault, so don't worry about me blaming Valve for this, I won't even open a support ticket. Just be careful if you have a metallic strap for your smartwatch or other metals around the Steam Puck, as when it's on the exposed contacts will start heating up anything they touch. Keep the Puck 1-2m separate from anything that can warm up or be metallic.

Xbox series elite controller has a similar exposed-pogo-pin design, as does my Pixel watch charger. So if these two are in close proximity they may arc.

Thankfully I caught it just in time, the damage is visual. My Pixel Watch 4 and Steam Puck are both fine. I'll wait until you can order Pucks separately.
