How does everyone’s managers deal with call outs? Ours is way too lenient, we have people call out constantly an hour or two before their shift. We have employees that do it literally on a weekly basis and there’s never no discussion or anything. It’s starting to get really infuriating. Does petsmart have no attendance policy?
In a week or two I will be offered the EL position but I’m honestly not sure because the last person who had it they only gave them $1.25 raise! Currently I’m at about 34 hours half on register and half in petcare. Besides having to harass customers at the register I really like my job. I’m worried the workload is going to be a lot more with not enough pay. I will definitely ask my coworkers more about the job but I’d like an opinion from others. All of the other managers are expecting me to accept it but I don’t want it sugarcoated.
