Decided to give all my VR players, pokemon abilities.

I've been playing too much pokemon champions

Tried to make sure that the abilities' effects resembled the effects they have in pokemon as closely as possible.

Because wind water and ice are all the same element in IE, Rain, snow and delta stream are extremely difficult to not only balance but also make on distinct from the other, i was avoiding putting dumb stuff like "boosts "water" hissatsu" and saved that for special cases like Strong Jaw.

If anyone tries to say that i should have given Li Leung Slush rush,  I will cut you down, break you apart, splay the-, I will quickly remind you that he is from africa and it does not snow over there, and they also dont have enough money for training facilities for winter sports.

Let's give mega Heatran Desolate Land (Champions)

Mega Heatran has a big problem called "heatranite isnt an air balloon" this means that upon mega evolving, you basically tell your opponent "ye im a mud shot victim", and you die, so why not give heatran something to offset the fact that it just lost the possibility to be immune to its 4x weakness.

Just hear me out on this one, lets give it desolate land, the reason why it is busted on Primal Groudon is that it turns it's 4x water weakness into an immunity, now lets give it to a pokemon that's not 4x weak to water, is 4x weakness to ground, has a weird speed tier, and has less hp and def than groudon.

Benefits to M-Heatran

He now becomes a flagship sun setter that makes everyone immune to water, this combined with SPA higher than mega Charizard will make it have the most potent heatwaves in the meta.

Match ups agaisnt VGC archetypes:

Weather in general - They have to KO M-Heatran as soon as possible for them to be able to use their weather

Rain - Electro shot becomes useless and you might as well just leave archaludon and pelipper on the bench

Sand - Sand has the best match up agaisnt M-Heatran even if it has desolate land, like said mons like garchomp and excadrill will literally instakill this guy if trickroom isnt set up and even then Garchomp is strong agaisnt fire and neutral agaisnt steel.

Snow - Snow has the worst match up, even if mega heatran had drought you'd still be forced to run garchomp just to kill it since unlike zard y, which is already a hard match up, heatran has a 4x resistance agaisnt ice.

Trickroom - Farigiraf would be forced to run either a focus sash or max SPD and hp investments so it could survive heatwaves, making it a less potent offensive threat once trick room is up.

Pokemon that heatran would still have to worry about(this is where the weird speed tier comes into effect):

Garchomp/Excadrill - I will talk about these two together cuz they are both ground types that outspeed heatran outside of sand and trickroom, any ground move will obliterate heatran, even bulldoze, this means that for garchomp specifically his usage would skyrocket in teams that dont have an answer to M-Heatran by default.

Sneasler - Close combat.

M-Golurk/M-Crabominable/M-Camerupt/M-Steelix/M-Chesnaught - all these mons have the capacity to one shot M-Heatran with either a ground move or a fighing move, all of them are also slower so they'd be best used under trickroom. Camerupt and Golurk are the highlights here because of their resistance to fire.

Ideal Partner

M-Heatran doesnt need damage support because of sun stab heat wave, but he 100% needs something to deal with ground types, someone who can at the very least outspeed them and ideally knock them out

So with all this I came to the conclusion that the best pokemon to partner with mega heatran would be chlorophyll venusaur because of his high speed and stab instant solar beams, and access to sleep powder, but there's still counterplay, you can still fake out the venusaur so your ground-type-stab-mega-heatran-killer doesnt sleep or die.

But sadly once M-heatran is gone venusaur will become as slow as it always was.

Garchomp will always be a pain in my ass, and also Sneasler is here.

Because of their already high usage percentage its hard to tell how much higher it would go but it would certainly go up

If an opponent leads with both of these mons you are gonna have a hard time, any situation where its venusaur and M-heatran vs Garchomp and Sneasler becomes a very dangerous gamble, since because both have the capacity to one shot M-heatran you'd have to guess if either one attacks and the other protects or both attack, the only way for a M-Heatran user to get out of that situation winning, assuming sneasler cant fake out, would be for one to protect and the other to get hit by sleep powder, remember desolate land is only activate as long as M-Heatran is on the field.

Team building with mega heatran

Because of its weird speed tier we talked about earlier, it can work both in and out of trickroom depending on your opponent's team, so thats why for the third and fourth team slots we are bringing whimsicott and farigiraf, Farigiraf is the standard trickroom setter, and whimsicott has 2 jobs, encore any other trickroom Farigiraf and use sunny day if M-heatran falls or isn't available, for the fifth slot we have Basculegion to deal with anything that remains, the sixth slot could be used for a secondary mega but right now its 11:54 PM and im sleepy so get creative

Extra note - Im not an expert on singles so i'd appreciate any kind of speculation of how Desolate Land M-Heatran would go there

My sun team has been a bit underwhelming so far so im looking for ways to improve it. [Champions Doubles]

Here's the reason why each pokemon is the way it is.

Charizard - its a sun team, there's megas, why tf wouldnt I use mega charizard Y, heatwave is there for generic sun stab boosted spread damage, solar beam to deal with water types and maybe rock and ground types, im starting to doubt the usefulness of dragon pulse over weather ball.

Venusaur - This might come as a surprise but Chlorophyll venusaur without any speed evs or natures only gets outsped by a total of 11 pokemon, 8 of them being megas and only two that dont require a speed nature to outspeed it, so thats the primary reason why I use it, slude bomb and beam are the best stab options for sun, weather ball basically turns into a stab fire 100 power move and synthesis gets buffed under the sun.

Golurk - Golurk has one job and one job only, to deal with my hardest match up, sand teams, if my opponents decides to go with excadrill and tyranitar it is golurk's job to get rid of either one of them, most of the times its tyranitar so it can heal itself with drain punch, so far it has been doing that job really well but i worry i might need to allocate some hp evs to it's speed since i think most people just run mega tyranitar with max hp and atk evs and a potential double up on him , by both excadrill and tyranitar, could be fatal.

Armarouge - if i go agaisnt a neutral or good match up i use it for double heatwaves with charizard.

Manectric - he's here to kill pelippers before they can U-Turn, and to redirect any thunder or electric attack that may be able to hit charizard, ive been thinking about giving it a choice scarf just to get rid of tailwind setters.

Dragapult - tbh i ran out of ideas and remembered that i have a shiny dragapult just chilling in my pokemon sword file, dragon dance then dragon darts spread damage.

So far i think Armarouge and Dragapult have been the most underwhelming parts of this team, currently dragon types and speed, with the sole exception of chlorophyll venusaur of course, seem to be my biggest problems, at first i expected both dragapult and charizard to be able to deal with dragon types but their damage just isnt enough.
