I have this fixture with a thermostat which allows me to keep a steady temperature for my Map turtle hatchling basking area.

However I notice sometimes that bulb will be dim to maintain temperature when he's basking. I have a separater UVB light so I'm not worried about that aspect.

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you

They look like they must be from recycled tires or something. I'm sure it's fine but it never hurts it ask
