Shape Anew gets 2nd place in 72 player challenge

https://www.mtgo.com/decklist/modern-challenge-64-2026-08-1712851686

Pretty sweet to see this list do so well.

IMO I would have played [[Namor, the Sub-Mariner]] over Murktide for more diverse threats.

Might be tempted to run a Saga package with [[Key to the Side Door]] to loot away extra Tami's and Namors, and to make your saga tokens unblockable.

Yes you could hit Key off shape anew but Saga's help you fetch it out and you'd only run 1 or 2

Missed Connection: Grocery Store (but it's not what you think it is)

The scene: a grocery store in town and country

You: M30's, wearing a Madeon shirt

Me: XX0's, wearing something I wore to work that day

I said "nice shirt, man", then I rattled off some names of Madeon songs and you were like "oh he's an OG fan"

Then we talked about edm, we both liked MU and you said they were doing their own festival soon. Dropped names of a couple other fav artists

You seem like a cool dude, I should have offered my # so we could link up at shows. Can reddit make my dreams come true?

P.S. the Madeon songs in question, so all of r/STL can jam like its 2011 again

Salt Vampire

Salt Vampire {1}{B} Creature — Vampire Shapeshifter

Lifelink

When this creature enters, look at target opponent’s hand. You may choose a nonland card from it. If you do, that player exiles that card, then draws a card.

2/2

https://scryfall.com/card/trk/127/salt-vampire

Interesting options for a couple decks I can think of:

SamCat: option to replace bowmaster, provides hand disruption which the deck doesnt currently have. Doesnt give you two bodies for Chord tho. Nice to Ritual into off of a Cat or Goose

Mono-Black Airship: provides fodder for Flare of Malice, also sacs to tower to accelerate into T3 Airship

Mono-Black Eldrazi: provides another Thought-knot effect

Cant think of many other Narset effects, but Vialing this in on an OP's turn with active Narset denies them a card

Oh yeah, my favorite format! NPE/AI

Admittedly I've taken a break from Arena since I missed most of SOS and MSH doesn't interest me.

Any idea what the hell NPE/AI means?

Loading Zone spec

With Star Trek previews starting, Loading Zone seems like a decent spec.

Sales data shows a few people are thinking the same as me.

Slowly moving over $1.25 in the past week.

Collection Tracking - best way to record card condition for an entire collection en masse?

So for years I have used tcgplayer's "collection tracker", no it's not an online storefront, it's meant for personal use. I'm in the process of getting that collection moved to an actual storefront or buy listing tool.

One of the limitations with the tcgplayer collection tracker is that there is no field to enter card condition. So all these years I've been adding to the digital collection, no card condition was recorded. This wasnt an issue for personal use, but obviously poses a huge problem for selling cards.

My first approach was to mark all cards from sets that are legal in premodern with MP condition. Some of these cards are LP, some are HP.

Then I created a "rating" for each individual set since then, so for example Mirrodin Beseiged was printed in 2011, those cards are likely MP. A set like Avatar was printed last year, those cards are likely LP or NM.

Has anyone found a good solution or approach to something like this? My collection is over 10K cards, so listing each card condition individually is not feasible.

After I get the collection imported to the storefront or buy listing tool, I would start with the most expensive cards first and go top down assigning condition.

TIA

I tried posting this in r/magictcg and it was removed due to using the words "buy" and "sell" ffs

Interesting Izzet Wizards list with W6 top four'ed the most recent 96 challenge

I've been testing a budget version of Izzet Wizards and found this list top four. Sweet list. Interesting splash for W6, esp given high prevalence of spell snare in the meta.

Curious on the community's thoughts, maybe the deck owner will see this.

What is the best way to import a collection to Manapool?

I have a collection on TCG player, no it is not the online storefront where people can buy from me, it is the "collection tracker" tool that is just for personal use. That tracker has my entire collection fully up to date. Tens of thousands of cards.

The goal is to import this collection to manapool.

I asked TCG if there is a way to export from the collection tracker tool, they said no.

So I copied all columns into an excel sheet, I have card titles, set name, quantities, finishes, and links to product pages. It doesnt give me set code so I'm building a table for that.

Manapool's site here says that they require TCGplayer ID and collector number, which the "collection tracker" doesnt give me, but is embedded in the product page link. Not sure how to extract that, but it is there.

I'm hoping I can get this excel doc to where I can directly import to manapool. Would like to not have to go thru another 3rd party like manabox.

Anyone have experience with this? TIA

Recommendations for low cost card storage boxes?

I recently got a couple Mana 8 FLAT PACK Storage Box from an Ultrapro sale.

Package arrived today and was disappointed in how flimsy they are. Not much improvement over the regular white bcw shoeboxes.

Anyone have a low cost option that they would recommend? I have a gamegenics "quiver" case but those run closer to $40/ea.

I want something I can take with me to lgs's if possible. The mana 8 box is not it.

TIA!

Starting as a new seller on Manapool, what is the best way to import a collection

Starting as a new seller on Manapool, I already have tracked my singles using the TCG player 'collection' feature for years, and more recently tracked my sealed product using EchoMTG.

I found this article on manapool's website about third party seller tools. Unfortunately TCG collection tracker and EchoMTG do not appear in the list.

https://support.manapool.com/hc/en-us/articles/33523814988311-Overview-of-third-party-seller-tools

Can anyone recommend using one of these tools? Starting yet another collection tracker (will be my third now) is daunting and want to make sure I do it right.

Thanks in advance!

Bought ISD snapcasters off FB marketplace, they are fakes

Text size is much smaller on the fakes, plus the set symbol is washed out.

Second set of images are the real one

Posting for awareness
