Rows: stack your bells

The video is me being a smartass BUT

I see many people with at home kb selections and they don’t have big enough for loading rows and deadlifts and lunges-stacking bells like this is the solution.

Bonus: it looks like it’s hard on grip but I promise it’s not.

Inverting ascending clean and descending press set.

Totally made up name and just being silly. But foreal I love this set for a bit more pump in my press training.

4 sets of 40 snatches today. Hands mushy.

40kg, 36kg, 34kg, 32kg.

1:30 per set. Complete recovery between like 3-4minutes of playing with kiddos.

Clean and press (or jerk) day

Two sets each after the warm up and just kept it pretty basic : all double 36kg work.

Hardest TGU variation I may have done.

This (or variations like this) is how I like to train getups these days when I do. More overload for the body compared to just a bigger belly up top which just hurts my forearm because I’m soft.

It’s the remix

U/legendary_pasos had the challenge, I had the matching bell, so r-Kelly’d it on the remix

Double 56kg bell cleans X 5 reps

Started suspect-ended pretty well.

If you ever get the chance to play with the giant bells-take it. It’s a wrastling good time!

20 minutes and completed simple and sinister, then snatch test, then 25 rounds of abc (Bulgarianized remix)

Thought of a nasty little challenge that tacks onto my own little dorky goal. Can I do simple and sinister without putting the bell down, then immediately do the hardstyle snatch test, then get the full thirty rounds of ABC all in under twenty minutes?

24kg for s&s and snatch and 2x24kg for abc

Answer was “almost”. I got 25 rounds of abc. But it was my first try so I’ll do better on the next one.

I wanna see if I can get a 24kg simple and sinister then snatch challenge in under 8 minutes total. Means I’d have to hit a 3:15snatch test AFTER a 4:45 s&s….so I dunno about it. Might try it with a 20kg to see if the speed is doable lighter (it is, but how fast exactly).

Ever seen someone snatch a human then do a TGU with her?

Had this idea recently and just needed a strong and willing (and small) helper. She only weighed 110lbs, so it’s not like this is crazy heavy for a getup, but I was stoked to do the stupid human trick snatch.

Took a time away from Reddit. My job revolves around various socials and ads and online work and honestly it was just a bit much so I deleted my old Reddit and have been able to minimize some other social media requirements.

And while there are always just awful people who live online-the kb Reddit was very much largely supportive and has a cool team of mods. I’ve made some internet pals on here, so decided to come on back.

My anti dogma and sarcastic self will jostle and jammy some jimmies. But it’s all out of the idea that playing with big metal balls should be fun and it’s certainly not this crazy serious endeavor that has any holy significance. Most my training goals revolve around still being able to dunk, or doing other weird little challenges.

I work in fitness. I’ve taught over 500 professional certifications and workshops (half being in kettlebells).
