Current market for money off msrp
So I had a deposit down on an incoming Civic Si for msrp. After reading a bit, however, I noticed people getting several thousand off of Integra six speeds. So I just sent a lowball to see what would happen.
They stacked a $4500 discount with the $2000 conquest off sticker. The only catch was that discount included $899 for permaplate shit and $899 for lifetime oil changes, state inspections, and tire rotations.
Meaning if I told them to take that off - and I did - the discount was lowered by about $1800.
I work on all my own cars so the oil change thing is a waste. But since it’s every 10k, ok, I’ll use it every other oil change then (since I do 5k intervals).
The permaplate is completely junk. I get it. I ceramic coat my own cars, also, with much higher quality ceramic coatings.
So here’s the tldr: got the teg for $36000 before taxes and fees. About 4500 off msrp.
So the delta between the si and the teg is about 3k difference. Is that about the market for these now? I thought it was pretty decent. Thanks!
