Conflicted

Hello all,

Long time lurker of this sub and I’m just going to cut to it; I’ve been thinking about trading my 2021 Mustang Ecoboost AT with 60k miles for a Integra MT. I understand the Integra has 100 less hp and may not have faster acceleration however, I have been looking at MT on and off (GR Corolla, Civic Si, Mazda 3, even Ecoboost MT). I personally want a bit more practicality such as a fully capable backseat and hatchback which I love about the Integras. Now, my car is paid off and Integras I have seen go anywhere from 26-32k with MT and my Misses is not a car “guy” so expressing my opinion is throwing it into the void (no offense to her). Also, would I sell or trade if I were to go through with the ordeal?

I just need peeps on here for some advice in general and what is the best course logically. Thank you all!

Finally gave her the EOS Front Splitter Lip

I finally pulled the trigger on the EOS Front Splitter Lip on the Teggy. It was a pain installing it on my own, but it will definitely be much easier with a second pair of hands. I love how it turned out, but I still have to get used to the dips because it can scrape!

B-Series spark plug cover - Tenzo R

Just found this in my shed. I used to have it on my 98 GSR. Sold the car back in 2006 but held onto this. Damn, I wish I still had that car. Just wanted to share some nostalgia.

Servicing my integra

Hi everybody I have a 2025 Acura integra a-spec. 26,900 miles. My last few services have only been the oil changes and air filters. Can we be real about what i need serviced at around 30,000 ? I have 40% oil life rn and the code it says is b12. So for the life of my car please recommend what’s best for me to do at this mileage. I know I shouldn’t be driving my integra like it’s a hellcat but I do 😭

What am I missing for 23 Integra?

I got the Integra a few months ago and thought it was normal but I guess not. The cover keeps coming off whenever I go over a speed bump. The dealer ship told me to buy a brand new one. Also the dealer ship & parts person didn’t want to look at Integra in the lot to see what the part actually is. What kind of clip do I need to buy for the cover so it doesn’t happen again. Als

A Spec Tech with Manual for Track Days?

Hi folks. Currently considering an Integra. Wondering if anyone has taken their a spec tech out for track days? It seems like the civic si can handle some tracking and the 1.5T is used on the Honda HPD track car.

I've considered a type s, but the price is high. And I worry about the cost of consumables and replacement parts/maintenance as it is low volume. There are plenty of regular integras on the road. + I would prob never track it due to fear/cost to be frank. I'm not opposed to the "slow car fast" mentality of the a spec.

Want Mod Recommendations

I’ve had my 26 integra A-Spec Tech 6spd manual for a month now.
I want to change some stuff, starting with the shift boot and knob. Any recommendations on companies to check or who has the better options? I want an Alcantara boot and the shift knob I’m looking at some weighted or maybe an old school Honda shift knob from a s2k or something classic. I just want some fun options and see what you guys recommend.

Thank you in advance!!

Current market for money off msrp

So I had a deposit down on an incoming Civic Si for msrp. After reading a bit, however, I noticed people getting several thousand off of Integra six speeds. So I just sent a lowball to see what would happen.

They stacked a $4500 discount with the $2000 conquest off sticker. The only catch was that discount included $899 for permaplate shit and $899 for lifetime oil changes, state inspections, and tire rotations.

Meaning if I told them to take that off - and I did - the discount was lowered by about $1800.

I work on all my own cars so the oil change thing is a waste. But since it’s every 10k, ok, I’ll use it every other oil change then (since I do 5k intervals).

The permaplate is completely junk. I get it. I ceramic coat my own cars, also, with much higher quality ceramic coatings.

So here’s the tldr: got the teg for $36000 before taxes and fees. About 4500 off msrp.

So the delta between the si and the teg is about 3k difference. Is that about the market for these now? I thought it was pretty decent. Thanks!

Possible Buyer

Hey yall. I’m thinking about trading in my Ford Maverick for an Integra A Spec. I’m ready for something a bit more premium feeling. I used to have a 2018 Civic Hatchback Sport and really miss how good that car felt.

Any regrets or annoyances that you all have? What are the car’s strengths? The car seems very much worth the 40k

Integra rpm drop issues

Hey guys, I have a 1995 Ls integra that’s been having rpm drop issues, I did some upgrades recently, plm4-2-1 headers, a cat delete and I changed the location of the o2 sensor onto a test pipe that replaced the cat converter and plugged an extension wire into it, the car when hot or cold runs fine at idle and goes through all gears, but with constant throttle the car will jerk, and lose rpm as if I’m letting off the gas and then getting on it again. Any and all suggestions or information would rly help!

23' A-Spec MT Commute MPG - I love this car

One way commute and my MPG. I love this car. Mainly interstate, with some 55mph highway and a few miles in the city.

EDIT: Second photo is recent tanks of fuel, reset at every fill-up.

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE. Acura is not taking accountability for a known safety defect and it could happen to you too.

I want to start by saying I love Acura. I chose this brand because of its reputation for quality, reliability and safety. That is exactly why what I am about to share is so deeply disappointing and frankly unacceptable.

I own a 2023 Acura Integra and have been dealing with a recurring sticky steering wheel condition that was subject to an official Acura recall. When the recall was performed, the so called fix was simply applying grease to the steering components. That is it. No replacement of the defective part. No permanent solution. Just grease.

Shortly after the recall repair was done the problem came back. And here is where it gets even more frustrating. The sticky steering is intermittent. It comes and goes. That makes it extremely difficult to diagnose because when you bring the car in, the technician may not be able to reproduce it during a short test drive. The service advisor told me they could not find anything wrong and sent me home. No further diagnostic steps. No follow up. Just sent on my way.

This puts customers in an impossible position. The problem is real. You feel it every time you drive. But because it does not happen on command during a dealership visit, you are left with no choice but to walk away with an unresolved safety issue and hope for the best. That is not acceptable for a steering system defect.

Here is the mechanical reality that Acura does not want to talk about. The steering gear rack is a precision metal component that relies on proper lubrication to function smoothly. When the lubrication is insufficient or breaks down, the internal gears experience metal on metal friction every single time you turn the wheel. This friction creates heat. Heat accelerates wear. Wear causes the internal surfaces of the rack to degrade over time. The more you drive with an insufficiently lubricated steering rack, the more microscopic damage accumulates with every single steering input. This is not speculation. This is basic mechanical engineering.

By applying grease as the recall remedy rather than replacing the defective component, Acura essentially slowed the damage without stopping it. Once that grease wears off, and it always wears off, the metal on metal friction resumes. Every turn of the steering wheel after that point is grinding away at the gear rack. It does not happen overnight. It is gradual. But it is inevitable. Eventually the gear rack will wear out entirely. That is exactly what happened in my case and it will happen to other Acura Integra owners who received the same temporary grease fix.

Let that sink in. Acura sells itself as a luxury brand built on precision engineering and safety. Yet when faced with a known defect in a critical safety system, they chose the cheapest possible fix, knowing full well it would not last. When the inevitable damage occurs, they leave customers with an expensive steering rack repair bill that is entirely their fault. This is not a minor inconvenience. A failing steering system is a serious safety risk to the driver, passengers and everyone else on the road.

If you own an Acura Integra 2023 or newer, watch for these warning signs before it gets to gear rack damage. A steering wheel that feels stiff or resistant when turning. Resistance that comes and goes rather than being constant. Here is something critical that Acura is not telling you. This symptom does not show up the same way in all driving conditions. You will most likely feel it on longer drives, highway curves and suburban roads where you are making wider gradual steering inputs. You will not feel it as much in the city where short quick turns are more common. This is exactly why a technician doing a short city test drive around the dealership will tell you they cannot find anything wrong. They are not lying. They just are not driving the car the way you drive it every day. And Acura knows this. They know the intermittent nature of this defect combined with short city test drives makes it nearly impossible to reproduce on demand at a dealership visit. That works entirely in their favor. The clock keeps running on your warranty while the defect keeps damaging your gear rack with every highway mile you drive. By the time the damage is severe enough to be undeniable, they will tell you it is outside your warranty and hand you the repair bill. Do not let that happen. Demand a master technician. Insist on a longer test drive that includes highway and suburban road conditions. Document every visit and every conversation. The longer this goes unaddressed, the more damage accumulates and the more expensive the eventual repair becomes. Acura is counting on you not knowing that.

Acura is not taking accountability. I currently have an open Corporate case and am still waiting for resolution. No customer should have to fight this hard to get a known safety defect properly repaired. A brand is only as good as how it stands behind its vehicles when things go wrong. Right now Acura is failing that test.

To any Acura Integra owner experiencing sticky steering, do not accept a grease application as a permanent fix. Demand a full inspection of your steering gear rack. Document everything. Look into the active class action lawsuit Burgos v. American Honda. You are not alone and you deserve better.

Has anyone upgraded the infotainment system?

I have the 23 A Spec and have the 7” screen and want to upgrade to the 9”, is this even possible or worth it? Wireless CarPlay would also be nice. It is possible what would it roughly cost?

First autocross season with my Integra

6 events in so far with it. 2023 A-spec, 6MT. All stock except for new wheels/tires. It’s been a blast so far 😁

Any other A-specs making it out to autocross events? 👀

What you paid for your A-Spec manual transmission?

I am in the market for either a 2026 SI or Acura A-spec. I have heard some people have paid 34-36k for there A spec trim due to dealers having them sit on the lot for a while. Wanted to inquire what you guys have paid for yours? Excluding incentives.

Anyone know why the shipping is so crazy for this??

Bought my 23 aspec used, and in good condition, but they hit something and slightly dented the lower grill on the bumper. It’s also ppfed and looks like shit now, so wanted to replace just that part. Found it for $115, but shipping is $325?!
