I think my laser tattoo was done wrong

Its been almost 2 weeks since I had it done. I only lasted about 2 seconds as it was the worst pain of my life. Almost passed out even. I feel like it might have been done improperly.

Why did my removal hurt so terribly

I read online that it should feel like a repetitive snapping feeling. To me it felt like sticking a 400° iron on my arm.

Was it supposed to feel like that or is it possible that it was done wrong? I do have a lower pain tolerance but it almost made me pass out from the pain, I feel like that much pain from it is insane.
