Help

I’m 2 weeks post op and I’ve accidentally pulled out my belly button stitch. There was some loose glue/dermabond that I was trying to get rid of to tidy it up but I must’ve pulled too hard and it’s come out. It’s not bleeding and I have given it as good a check over as I can without disturbing it too much. The majority of the wound has closed up except for a tiny bit on the edge. Do I need to worry and call my surgeon in the morning or do I leave it to heal up on its own? I feel like a right prat 🤦🏻‍♀️

Did anyone else have their period start after they were sterilised? I had my Bisalp on Tuesday and I’ve woken up today with heavy bleeding that I can only think is my period (I still have a week to go until my next one according to the app I use). Please tell me I’m worrying about nothing and that it’s all in my head

I’m now day 1 post op and I’m feeling pretty good. A bit crampy and I can definitely feel the gas pains in my sternum and under my boobs but I thought I’d be in a lot more pain and more bloated but I think years of horrendous period cramps means that anything else pales in comparison. Hopefully I’ll be going home today which is great because there’s a load of building work and drilling going on outside my room which was easy to ignore when I was absolutely knackered but now I’m awake, I’d quite happily stick the tools where the sun doesn’t shine 😅

The day I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. It’s Bisalp day! I’m not feeling too nervous at the moment but that might change once I get into the hospital. I’ll let you know how I got on once I’m home 😊

UPDATE: it’s all done. It was meant to be day surgery but I bled quite a bit so I’ll be in overnight. I’m uncomfortable but relatively pain free which is surprising. It has to be the easiest surgery I’ve had done and I’d do it all again if I could. I’m now enjoying a cheese sandwich and some tea which tastes amazing after 12 hours without any food. I can’t praise the doctors and nurses enough. They’ve been so lovely and kind.
