Thankfully, I was already sitting on the toilet.
Scared me senseless, but good reminder I needed to get more TP, as that’s where that normally is stored!

CDS brought me Sir Jaguar Meows-A-Lot a couple months ago and he spends 90 percent of his time inside now, but occasionally sits on the back porch with me, still. I have plans to enclose it soon, to make him safer as well as my yard birds. Anyway, I accidentally caught this blep while taking pics, as I’m obsessed with him. He’s such a good boy; found out he is already neutered, but not chipped. He has an appointment to get all that done in a couple weeks. I kind of felt bad, feeling like I had taken someone’s cat, but he refuses to leave, even if he has the opportunity. The vet told me not to worry too much since I had tried to find an owner and nobody came forward, and he wasn’t chipped. His new breakaway collar arrives soon! He quickly started using the litter box and sleeping in bed with me. He looks so good now that he’s been on the proplan liveclear food for a couple months now! Hope you like his blep!
About a year ago, I had a stroke and some seizures that came with it. A stray had two kittens under my house, right after it happened. Unfortunately, due to my health and multiple hospitalizations, I was cognitively and physically unable to do anything to help them and TNR. But, a couple weeks ago, this all black cat, that I believe was one of the two kittens, started coming through my yard a lot. One day, it just sat there meowing like crazy. So, I went inside and scavenged for something cat friendly for him to eat and some water.
Day by day, I’ve been gaining his trust and he is extremely vocal and loves getting attention and siting on laps now. He basically never leaves my porch now. I tried to put him in a harness and seat belt to take him to get scanned for a chip, but was unsuccessful, unfortunately. I have a friend that works as a vet for the local animal shelter where they help with TNR. So, he’s on the schedule to get all his checks, shots, and neutered, in two weeks time. He really wants to be in the house with us now, so he will be a full time indoor cat after neutering/ worming, shots. I may also screen in my back porch so he can safely sit outside with us as well.
I never thought I would be able to have another cat due to allergies, but I’ve been feeding him proplan live clear chicken and he loves it and it has already reduced my allergies so much in just a week. So, with filter, that food and allergy meds I will finally have my own cat again! He’s laying in my lap as I type this and I’m smitten. My kids are so happy to have a pet that chose us, especially one that looks like a miniature black jaguar!
A few months ago, a stray cat had a litter of two kittens under my house. I, unfortunately, had a stroke and was unable to try and TNR them at the time it happened as I was hospitalized, etc, just days after she gave birth. One of her babies has now showed back up to my house a couple days ago and he is very social. (Currently sitting in my lap after a few days of skittishness.) I have him on the schedule to go have him seen next Monday and then scanned, neutered, tagged, and get shots in a week. But as he was laying in my lap, I noticed his right side paw and pad is cracked and a bit red. He will let me touch around it and doesn’t seem to be in much pain. Do I need to try and get him seen earlier than when I first take him in next Monday? I have never been around outdoor cats/strays much so I don’t know if this is urgent. Money is tight, so I don’t want to have to take him to a private vet if this is not urgent, but I’m also attached to him and want to see if he can become my cat.
Edit: it didn’t let me post a photo with the post. But I can upload some to Imgur and link if someone wants a look at it.
