Switching from Commerce to PCM (via NIOS) for BITSAT (EEE) Is this a realistic 9 month pivot? hai ??

Hey everyone,

I’m currently in Class 12 (Commerce stream) with an 80% aggregate, but I’ve realized I have zero interest in the commerce field. I want to pursue EEE at BITS, and I am seriously considering a total pivot to PCM to make this happen.

I know this sounds crazy, but I’m ready to dedicate myself fully for the next 9 months. My plan is to take Class 12 again with PCM through NIOS.

1-Feasibility: Is it realistically possible to cover the entire PCM syllabus from scratch and reach the cutoff for a competitive branch like EEE in BITS in just 9 months?

2-The NIOS Factor: Since I’ll be doing my 12th through NIOS, is this board officially accepted by BITS for their admission requirements?

3-The "Gap"Reality: Coming from a commerce background, what are the biggest hurdles I’ll face with JEE/BITSAT-level physics and math? How can I catch up on the conceptual foundation quickly?

4-Strategy: If you were in my shoes, what would your 9-month "survival" study plan look like? What high-yield topics should I prioritize first to actually stand a chance?

I’m not looking for sugar-coated encouragement; I need a reality check on whether this is a viable path or a complete pipe dream. If anyone has experience making a transition from a non-science stream to an engineering college, I would love to hear how you did it.

Thanks in advance for the guidance.
