Dell Latitude 3310 won't charge or power on after being unused for 6 months
Hi everyone. I have a Dell Latitude 3310 that has been powered off and unused for about 6 months. Now it won't turn on at all. When I plug in the original 65W Dell charger, there is no charging LED or any indication that the laptop is receiving power.I also tried another compatible Dell charger, but the behavior is exactly the same.
The only sign of life is that when I press and hold the power button, the battery indicator lights up solid amber/orange. As soon as I release the power button, the light goes off. I've already checked that the chargers work and the charging port doesn't appear to have obvious physical damage.
Could this be caused by a deeply discharged battery after 6 months of storage, or is it more likely to be a failed charging port, charging circuit, or motherboard? Are there any troubleshooting steps I should try before taking it to a repair shop?
