NBD, setup & first ride done.
Ordered monday on a lunch break, received the bike today.
Setting up the bike tubeless with Vittoria airliner was a breeze. The wheelset seems nice, although freehub is not the buzzing type, personally could not care less. The tyres are exceptional, could not ask more from them. Used to ride Michelin DH22/34 and id say these are on par with them regarding grip levels, but easier rolling.
Took 30 mm off the bar width and change grips to softer ones.
Wireless AXS & smoothshift is really great. Although made me briefly rip my hair off with unconsistant shifting. Was my mistake when fasting the rear axle after tubeless setup. You need to push the derailleur all the way forward before tightening the axle. This was not mentioned on the quick start guide.
Eurobike, but VPN to NZ worked wonders, also updated all the firmware on the bike and drivetrain.
Bedded brakes as good as i could, but still feel like these are not entirely up to task. Have to try better pads at the front atleast and maybe do a bleed. Lever feels is soft and stopping power is less than Magura MT7:s on my DH-sled. I am heavier rider, so that might have something to do with this lack of power. Modulation is good.
Suspension is up to task, was actually surprised how good the bike handles chatter and drops. Nothing fancy, but gets the job done and lets you rip pretty darn hard.
Dropper is a joke, really slow movement and feels like the old cheapest droppers you could get for less than 100. Probably gonna upgrade to electronic one.
All in all, id say Amflow really nailed the specs on this build for the price. It is reqlly thought out parts list if you are a more serious rider.
The motor is insane, trail mode is more than adequate if there is anything technical front of you. If someone who is more customed to avinox have any tips on custom powermodes let me know.
