The music is.. interesting, but the stage presence is gold.

I neither strongly like nor dislike the music. I find it almost more of a "statement" or an experiment of sorts, and in that way perhaps "artsy". Intentionally abrasive and.. challenging? Something that insists on itself; is shy yet not too reclusive. (Okay the last sentence is bullshit, just kidding!). But seriously, although it's hectic, discordant, surely annoying and unpleasant to most tastes, I find reality to be so similarly and the music kind of sums up for me the intimidating, intrusive feeling I get from stepping outside into society and dealing with people. So in that sense there is an authenticity to it, as if it's a fittimg soundtrack to our postmodern alienation. It's a deconstruction of normality into existential dread, yet in so doing familiarizes us with our own disconnection.

Anyways, aside from that, 2Slimey himself is sheerly adorable. His sweet amiability and comfort in his own skin is admirable, and the street / gangsta elements of his style and lyrics contradict interestingly with his serene, almost humble persona. He is both a "rockstar" in how he presents himself, with a cocky, self-satisfied bragiadociousness, while simultaneously embracing a comfortable goofy weirdness. I sense a defiant individuality in him, a terminal uniqueness that resists categorization as much as it formalizes a self-consistent cosmology of slime.

Truly, it is his being-in-itselfness which affirms that slime which connects us all.
