Why does GenAlpha constantly say "ngl", "fr", "on god", etc?
Is there some ubiquitous cloud of doubt that what people are saying is false? It seems almost like overcompensating for a kind of bizarre implied suspicion that everything is false and fake, so they need to constantly clarify that their statements are in fact, factual.
Did previous generations do this with some kind of slang I am forgetting? When did emphasizing honesty become a constant necessity?
How old and out of the loop am I that this unsettled me lol?
