Just finished this structured crossbody in navy blue. Really happy with how the curved detail on the flap turned out

I wanted to share my latest project a minimalist structured navy blue crossbody bag that I just took off the bench. My main goal with this piece was to keep the aesthetic completely clean and hardware free on the face, letting the leather and structural silhouette do the talking. I went with a hidden magnetic closure under the front flap to keep things secure without breaking the lines.

Has anyone used a steam cleaner to refresh clothes or fabric items?

I recently started using a steam cleaner around the house for normal cleaning, but I’ve also been trying it carefully on some fabric items like jackets, upholstery, and heavier clothes to help freshen them up between washes. I was honestly surprised by how well steam helps with odors and wrinkles on some materials without needing a full wash cycle every time. It also feels useful for things that are harder to wash often, like bags, thicker hoodies, or fabric furniture. I’m still pretty new to using steam cleaners though, so I’m curious how people here use them safely with laundry or fabric care.

  • What fabrics should definitely avoid steam?
  • Do you use steam mainly for sanitizing, wrinkle removal, or odor control?
  • And have you noticed any fabrics reacting badly over time?

Just wrapped up this laptop bag I’ve been working on. It’s made from full grain leather in a forest green tone with white accents. I wanted something simple, durable, and clean that would age well and develop a nice patina over time. Tried to keep the design minimal but still practical with the front zip pocket for quick access. Curious what you guys think open to feedback.

Hi everyone, I’ve just moved to Dublin and I’m looking to buy a handmade suede rucksack similar to the one in the attached photo. I’m specifically looking for local shops or independent artisans rather than big commercial brands. Does anyone know of any leather workers or craft boutiques in the city. Thanks so much for the help.
