My partner and I will be visiting Jackson Hole in a couple of weeks and are interested in renting a side-by-side. One local outfitter allows you to drive UTVs directly from their lot to nearby trails, but it sounds like getting there requires driving through town.

For locals, how frustrating/obnoxious is it to deal with tourists driving UTVs through town, even if they’re just trying to access the trails? We have no intention of cruising around town and would only be driving through to get to and from the trails. We want to be respectful of the local community and avoid contributing to the frustrations of overtourism, so we’d appreciate an honest perspective.

We are staying at a gasthaus in the Black Forest and had dinner there. We had the meal billed to our room. Are we able to tip at check out? Or were we supposed to tip at dinner via cash or card?
