2019-2021 Recall? Latest Recall from Ford! #Ford #NHTSA
I’m trying to understand why the 2019–2021 Ford Edge hasn’t been included in Ford’s recent transmission-related recall covering other 2018–2021 models like the F-150, Explorer, and Navigator.
There are 250+ complaints on NHTSA for the Edge with similar transmission issues—shuddering, hesitation, hard shifting, and failures. The pattern seems very similar to what Ford is addressing in the recalled vehicles from the same general timeframe.
In my case, I had a major transmission failure and ended up paying about $9,300 for a Ford-installed replacement transmission.
I’m not trying to rant—I just want to understand if anyone else is seeing the same pattern, or if there’s any known reason the Edge is excluded from the recall while sharing similar complaints and model years.
Has anyone else dealt with this or heard anything from dealers or Ford?
